very good prof! mark the quiz and midterm so carefully. very responsible, really want you to learn something rather than get a diploma. tough but she is the kind of teacher that I like. still get 80+, thanks a lot

Comment:

One of the better profs at this University in Engg. She doesn't sugar coat anything and tells you the way it is; expects you to think rather than memorize and challenges you. The textbook is excellent, and her resources she posts online. Her test making skills aren't the best i.e. if there are 2 diff versions ; 1 may be easier than the other .

Comment:

The woman gets a hard wrap. She doesn't sugar coat it but she is helpful and fair. There is no tricks in her class unlike many of the other profs in engineering. Her midterms are a pain in the butt but her final was very easy. Beneeth the surface Dr. Iwaniw is a really nice lady and if you show up and do your work she will respect you.

After the first midterm I wanted to drop the class and fight her. I stuck through it and she eventually treated our class with respect. The final was not as tough as I thought it would be. Overall the class was hard but decently interesting. I have to give it to her that she works as hard as she expects you to.

Very strict, but also very helpful. I've never had a professor that has worked that many questions out step by step in that much detail. She's also willing to help you as long as your willing to do the work. She can be a bag, but probably because she knows you don't care.

Most people think Dr. I is mean and doesn't care about the students...this is not true. In first year classes it will seem she doesn't give a damn about you but as you 'prove' yourself as an engineer she will give you more respect and seem to be more helpful. Come one guys, give her a break she is really nice inside.

she is mean but so is the world. the class is tough as hell but i know my**** thanks to her. i am confident i can tackle fluid problems in the workplace, coffee flows the direction i want it now! no coffee in my lap ever again

She wagged her nasty finger in my face and told me "not to play rules with her" over an anecdotal issue of little importance. Who the hell does that?! It's a professional environment, not the kindergarten classroom. I can't believe my tuition funds this joke of a woman and her sorry-ass atitude.

She's one of those teachers you will hate. Her interpersonal skills are crap and she will make you feel like a moron for asking a question. But if you work and have the guts to get past the intimidation, she is very clear/helpful for finding A's to your Q's. She makes everybody work for their marks and pushes you to your optimum.
