Always goes off topics & on tangents & ends up speeding through the rest of the lecture. She talks a lot & very fast. She's the toughest grader I've encountered in my 4 years at Mac. Her expectations are super high. I've taken 8 classics courses here and the lowest final grade I've received was a A-. I got a C- in this course. Would not recommend.

I really like Dr. George, she's very excited about what she does and it shows in lectures. However if you want an easy 12, I wouldn't recommend taking one of her classes; you have to work really hard for a good mark, but I think it's worth it

I really enjoyed this class quite a lot. I found it quite easy to follow and I didn't put that much effort in in order to get a good grade. I would recommend skipping buying the course-ware; I never looked at it once. Better off saving the $20.

Great lectures, but extremely hard marker! Studied hard and I am great at essays and only got a C. I am majoring in classics and this class was very hard, but very interesting.

I hate to start off this way but, George is easily the worst professor I have had to date (3rd year). Her lectures are absolutely painful and she veers WAY off topic far too often. If she used her hands to talk any more I'd swear it was a sign language class. Don't expect any help when going to her. She's also subtly rude via email. Please avoid!

Dr. George is fantastic. Yes she speaks quickly, but she doesn't expect you to remember everything. She's a brilliant scholar, fantastic lecturer, and very passionate about academia. Always go see her about papers, she's very helpful. I was terrified about taking a class with her, but she turned out to be my favourite professor.

Uninspiring, arrogant and difficult. Avoid her at all costs! She is very unapproachable and condescending . She would be better suited for research which would free her from the drudgery of interacting with students which she is ill-suited to do. BEWARE!

Dr. George is a huge disappointment for many, many reasons. First, she carries herself as if she has no expectations, but when papers are returned her expectations are so high that they become unrealistic. She is more preoccupied with her own agenda and does not make any time for her students.

An excellent, brilliant professor. It's obvious that she loves what she does because she's so enthusiastic. By gushing over pieces of art she made me love them as well. She definitely made the course, it's the only class where I didn't look at my watch and where I was disappointed when it was over.
