She's a nice enough person but definitely not engaging as a professor. Only reads from the textbook, doesn't bring any outside learning tools or assignments, and even when she can clearly see that majority of the students are struggling (She posts grade averages and they're always below 60%) she does nothing to change her methods.

best teacher I've ever had. easy and funny but you need to do your work. Oral was easy but grammar needs work. In short, like every language class you need to show up and engage... good part? 6 Credits!

Marelli was a pretty good teacher. Can't complain. But 301 is a hefty course. I know that I wasn't the only one having difficulty paying attention for two hours and 45 minutes twice a week. I definitely won't take another course that long again - especially one that's not in my native language.

Didn't learn anything in this class! Fran 306 should not be taught as a 7 week summer class. Do yourself a favor and take it over a full semester so you can actually improve your writing. Or skip it entirely. It's a suggested prerequisite for 321 but you're probably better off w/o it.

This was the one class I can honestly say that I did not learn a thing in. This woman did not teach, she only criticized. A huge waste of money and time. She also had us do our in-class professor evaluations at the same time that we were doing another assignment and then gathered them up before most people had time to finish!

Show up to class, because you are taught a lot in each one. Marelli is extremely clear, upbeat, and comprehensive. Tests, exams, and quizzes were thorough but not overly difficult. As long as you put in decent effort and time she will be very understanding with you.

She is very lively, makes the class interesting. I had trouble understanding her, my comprehension in French isn't that fast. She was very clear about what the tests were on. She goes over grammar rules in the book, explains things you don't understand. There was no final, instead an oral presentation with power point. Good prof!

One of the best teachers I ever had in my life. She's soooo nice. She's approachable and makes the class interesting. The work was reasonnable and always had a chance to do better. She gives a lot of helpful tips and links to students to help them with their homeworks and she gives you access to lots of materials. Would definitely recommend.
