Comment:

I loved Dr. Tisak! She was such a sweet lady and makes the material clear. Make sure you read your textbook and go to class. She gives out in class activities and extra credit opportunities at random throughout the semester. There are 4 exams (50 pts each) and 3 reports (15 pts each).

Comment:

Marie is one of my favorite psych professors I've had. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about child development and if you're interested in the topic, you'll love the class. Exams and writing prompts are say, the book was only helpful when studying for exams but it was necessary! I'd take her again for sure

Comment:

Marie is one of the best profs I have ever had. She's extremely invested in her work and loves to share her past experiences. The tests are a lot of your grade, but she makes sure to pad it with reports and extra credit opportunities. Overall, 10/10 would take again. Highly recommend her class.

Marie is hands down my favorite professor I've ever had. I look forward to going to class every mwf just because I know I'll see her smiling face. She knows exactly what she's talking about and teaches the material in a way we'll understand. She's always accessible outside of class. Her exams and papers are very easy as long as you study.

Let me start by saying this: please take another professor. Marie can't even use complete sentences on exams. She does not have an understanding of concepts she is trying to TEACH. She frequently uses the "R" word when referring to disabled children. Also, she has no clue what a Punnet square is. (Like, seriously?)

Classes are actually interesting if it's something you're passionate about. You need to study for the tests, but if you've taken previous psychology classes, a lot of it should match up. Don't need the book. Tests are straight from the PowerPoint, which she puts up online. Doesn't take attendance.

She takes random attendance, so you have to go. She has a review before the exam, but only 1030 review questions were similar to the 50 question exam. Don't take this course. Actively avoid this teacher. She refuses to explain assignments and is verbally aggressive toward students who ask for help through e-mail.

She takes attendance and gives in-class activities for points 4 times randomly during the semester, so you're taking a chance skipping class. She posts all lectures online and gives you study guides to help you with the exams. The exams are hard but if you read over lectures and study everything on the study guides, you'll be fine.

Marie was a WONDERFUL teacher. You can tell she really cares about the subject she teaches and her students. This was my favorite class and instructor this semester. Exams are fair and not too hard if you study. Has a few required reports as well as a few for extra credit and she randomly takes attendance for extra credit points as well.

Comment:

One of my favorite professors I have ever had. She is very personable and loves her subject AND her students. Good at engaging class. However, the tests are not the easiest but with an entire class dedicated to a review and a review sheet, ass you need is to study a bit. TAKE HER IF POSSIBLE!

I don't know what everyone is talking about on here??? Marie is definitely not a good teacher. She is clearly at a point where she needs to retire and accept the fact that she no longer possesses the cognitive ability or demeanor to successfully teach a class.

I love her! If you go to class, you'll do well. She does random attendance for extra credit. She has random ex. credit assignments. Exams are very fair and straightforward. There is also a full day before the exam dedicated to reviewing which is helpful. I only needed the book to review, so I just used the library's reserve. Take her class!

Oof the best professors I've had at BG! Attendance isn't mandatory but she does randomly give xc attendance and in class points. Exams are easy,she gives a study guide and has a review session. I suggest taking her!

This class was very interesting to me and she always tried to engage in class discussion.She gives good examples to make things clear for us. Her exam arent easy. You have to read the book and study the study guide well. She gives extra credit on certain days for showing up.

Not the easiest class. Her lectures are not exciting, but she's good at helping students understand what she's teaching. There aren't many points outside of exams. To do well on the exams, you need to study the crap out of the study guides, because they are far more difficult than expected. Nice lady, though.
