Comment:

Most of the grades are in-class assignments and Aplia homework. There are only two tests and one larger project, and the information for the tests comes mostly from the textbook. The class is in a computer lab and she makes you print all your assignments, which is weird. Nice lady, but she seems to think we know nothing about Word documents.

Comment:

Her Blackboard is very unorganized and she doesn't have a schedule for class or assignments. Many Mindtap assignments but they are easy and count for a lot of your grade. Two MC tests - long but straightforward. Takes attendance but her lectures are pointless, just need to know the book material. Would take again because the course itself was easy.

Completely unstructured class. Extremely unbalanced workload 75% of the workload is in the last 5 weeks. No idea how much exams and projects are worth. We turned in a group project about a month ago, still haven't got it back. Her blackboard is a complete information tornado with layers and layers of folders and random files. Very self-centered

Terrible professor. She had us make resumes and when I showed my friend, who works in HR, the resume she did for me, he said that it would just go in the trash. All she does is brag about her accomplishments and everything she teaches goes against all of my other business professors.

Comment:

Dr. Chalupa is a more-than-fair grader. She provides feedback on all assignments, and as long as you communicate with her, she will work with you. You are allowed to miss a few classes, however, I would not recommend doing so. Homework is the largest part of your grade. I earned C's on the all of the exams and I still passed the class with a B+.

Chalupa is extremely out-spoken about her opinions, but she means well and is always willing to help. Everything you do in the class is very helpful and you will use after you leave school. Only took one test, and that was the final. Gave us a study guide for that. Just follow her instructions and you'll do fine. Overall, pretty easy class.

This class is full of busy work, but Dr. Chalupa is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. She even bought us Insomnia Cookies and other treats. Most of the assignments are in-class, so show up, do the work, get an easy A.

Very nice professor. An A is very achievable as long as you do the work assigned and attend class. She's very understanding and cares about your achievements outside of the class. You will actually use some of the things you learn in this class!

Extremely nice. Wrote me a letter of recommendation. This is a really practical course if you have Dr. Chalupa. She really goes beyond to help you.. Make sure you do the online assignments because it's worth 20% of your grade. Also be aware that you don't have a lot of actual tests. Many grades that count as tests; but they are projects. Not tests!
