Comment:

She's really eccentric in the best way possible. She really does try to understand everyone and is very helpful in grading of essays. If you have any sort of logical thinking abilities, you will do well. The class focused a little too much on only Asian and Mid-Eastern culures, but besides, that, the class was a great experience.

I took her Inquiry into Cultures/Countries class. She's an older lady, very sweet, and helpful. She grades pretty fair on essays -if they're organized and make sense. There are readings almost every other night and short journal entries you have to do (1/2 page). Very easy class. Easier than my 101 class.

wayy to opinionated. very frustrating when trying to get your point across to her. She likes certain students and seems to really dislike others. started disliking me after i did poorly on a paper and because she didnt agree with my political views.

Absolutely love her! She cares about everyone's opinions, even if their opinions seem crazy and "out there." She really wants students to do well and is very organized about giving out essay topics, etc. She encourages going to office hours to go over essays with her. Make sure you read all the material because her tests are basically quotes.

I really liked her. I felt like she respected everyone's opinions, was pretty fair in her grading, and generally did a good job. Judging from the other ratings, it may be better to take American Lit from her, rather than 101 or 102.

I had her for American Lit and didn't think the class was that bad. If you take good notes and listen to what she has to say. She does express her opinion frequently but leaves room for everyone else to get theirs in too. Journals and Essays will help pull up exam scores if you do bad. The tests mostly are straightforeward with no trick questions.

I had her two semesters ago for English. Unlike everyone else who has rated her, I really did not have a hard time in her class. It was fairly easy. 4 papers. No exams. She is opinionated but I found most of the time she listened to the other students' opinions as well.

worst teacher in the english department, does not respect others opinions,will try to embarras students in class over their opinions in OPINION PAPERS!,taking a class from her is the worst descision you will ever make in you academic career, avoid at all cost even if it means waiting until next term

I had her about five years ago. Yeah, she can be a little demanding for a freshman-level course, but then again, I think Comp 102 should demand that kind of intensity. I've seen too many horrible junior and senior essays to chide her for being too harsh. Personality--okay. Not great, not horrible.
