Comment:

I could not imagine having any other instructor to help ease my way into the program. She was SO wonderful, supportive, and has really helped shaped me into the student nurse I am today. To this day, each time I see her I am reminded as to how lucky I was to have her and how much she truly cares for all of her students. Consider yourself lucky!!

Comment:

Marilyn aids in you developing the skills you need for clinical, but appears stressed for time a lot. The quizzes for class were generally tough, it was required to get all the readings done to pass them. Don't expect hints for them or the final, just study study. Practice quizzes online and at the end of the chapters and modules helped a lot.

Content was difficult but with her it was made easy. Seems very stressed throughout the semester, but was there when you needed her. Sometimes leaves questions unanswered but overall tried to ensure all students understand what is happening in the class. As a lab class she does a great job getting students familiar with clinical skills

You will never find a better nursing instructor. She answers all questions and makes time to help all students. Content was difficult but with her it was made easy. Wish she taught everything. Douglas needs more instructors like her.

Marilyn was my very first clinical instructor and now, looking back 3 years later, she was one of the very best. She has such a gentle, kind way about her and is very patient and supportive. I found that she would go out of her way to give positive feedback to keep students motivated and interested.

spends too much time introducing that days class and therefore wastes valuable teaching time. not at all helpful during kab class and humiliates you if you do not understand the first time.
