I took Mark's critical thinking class what not what I was hoping for. He is a really cool man but it was not what I was looking for. I found the concepts hard to follow and not well explained. He went on quite a few tangents without explaining them but still expected us to understand. I appreciate him as a teacher but the class was not for me.

Mark is a great teacher, and you'll learn a lot in his class. The formal logic section is bewildering, but the rest is well explained. Be forewarned, Mark engages his students during lecture, which is dangerous if you have a couple of mouthy first year idiots in your class-we did it really brought the level of discourse down.

most AMAZING prof i've ever had! he is SO understanding and marks fairly (which is hard to find these days). even though it's the most boring subject ever he somehow makes it so interesting. you actually learn life skills in this class, but you do have to do lots of assignments, read, and go to class. i hope to have him again!!

I owe my success (sic) in both business and personal life to the skills I learned from Mark Battersby. It is fair to say that his "Logical Self Defense" class in 1979 changed my life! Mark is a brilliant man, a well-above-average teacher and a quality human. Take his class, or anything he teaches. And do the homework!

one of the best instructor I ever had
