Extremely easy course. Didn't show up for one of the "required" presentations, skipped maybe 3/4 of the classes. None of the reading was mandatory except when he made us go through the Butterfly Mother book in class (but you could just use your partner's...). He can be a little boring, the class was not as interesting as I'd hoped but it was EASY A

The class lectures are almost verbatim to online textbook, which is nice because you don't need to buy a textbook, but only the Butterfly Mother book. He just reads off the PowerPoint slides. Quiz/midterm/final are multiple choice. Gives list of topics to study for midterm/final. Offers extra credit opportunities. Didn't read textbook; got an A!

Mark is a great professor, I enjoyed taking the class with him plus with both of his TA's (Matt and Yunxin) who were very helpful, and they were excited about giving the lectures. Guest speakers were also brought to the class which made if fun. Just study before the midterms and you should be fine.

Bender is a BAMF. whoever said Bender is a tool must have been talking about someone else. Best class of my life; try to get Matty Chudnow as a TA - coolest kid you will ever meet.

if you don't get an A in this class, maybe college is not you best path in life. i studied at total of four hours in the class. i woke up at 9:30 am to study for the first time and took the final @ 11:30 and got a 100%. easy A.

Like everyone else says, EASY GEC. You can slack and get an A pretty easily (I sure did). A couple of things: Don't be stupid, do the extra credit. Also, the 2nd midterm is the hardest test, so be prepared.

I took this class 3 years ago and still laugh about it today. Bender's stories are so boring and stupid that they are funny. The TA's in this class were usually heckled loudly during lecture, because they didn't speak a bit of English. Automatic A.
