I throughly enjoyed each class with Professor Chapell. He kept things very interesting. Keep in mind you will be doing a good deal of reading but in the end it is worth it.

Professor Chapell is a great teacher. Alot of the negative comments are by those who do not take an interest in his classes. He goes above and beyond with helping students.

He is the perfect example of why teachers should not be tenured. He makes me want to quit school. He is the worst and is useless. I think that the fact that he is a teacher says a lot of NEGATIVE for Rowan. He should not be a teacher at all. Seriouly you will want to die.

This guy is nuts. He covers very little of the material on the test. He has people believe his lectures help but they really don't, in order to get a decent grade you need to read the chapters. After 15 mins of lecturing he plays tapes some having nothing to do with the course. However, you can sign yourself in for any courses you missed.

He is the WORST prof I've ever had at Rowan. Take his class if you want to watch irrelevant movie clips all class period and not learn a single useful piece of information. How this man ever earned a doctorate degree is beyond me, but he certainly doesn't know a thing about effective teaching!

the guy is nuts, he talks into a microphone that is connected to an old school speaker box that does not even work! loves to talk about himself, what he has donwe, his wife, and anything else completely unrelated to the topic. he thinks he is great and he is probably the only one that does. only plus is that he is a guaranteed A.

Very easy class. No papers or projects. The classes are boring, he teaches you nothing. Just buy the text, read the chapters, and that's it. Everything on the tests comes from the text, not anything discussed in class.

Dr. Chapell is extremely boring, as well as self-centered. To get a good grade in Child Development, basically ignore his lectures, and study ALL of the practice tests and study things that come with the textbook and are online.

Chapell is pretty easy. There are only 3 tests and a 15 pg paper which you can include diagrams for at least 8 pgs. He only counts the pages and does not read your work, so don't stress. Pretty easy A.

one of my fav profs ever, loved him! so nice and funny and cool. classes are all discussion and attendance doesnt affect grade. 2 exams that are hard and require u to memorize LOTS of info- pay attention to little details from chapters to do well on tests. gave us no papers. not an easy A, but awesome for a rsch class.

really knows his material, had three tests which determined your grade, attendence not required, doesn't talk much about the info in the book but gives examples and personal experiences to relate the info, study the info and go on the books website for quizes and you'll be fine. EASY CLASS!

Dr. Chapell gave 2, 100 question MC exams, and they were the only forms of assessment. Att. is recorded, but not credited. I really think he uses a test generator from the book - VERY FEW class notes were on the test. I read every chapter, used the CD ROM, made vocabulary cards for every term, and went to 11/12 classes and got a B.

Nice guy but constantly went off on tangents. He wants feedback but is not open to others' comments. Very authoritative; he is right; you are wrong. 2 100 question exams were only method of grading. This wasn't a proper assessment of graduate work; was a waste of money & time. Difficult to understand, not helpful, not approachable. Rigid/Unbending.

urgg....had to do a 20 page paper!!! and had quizes every week. I don't like his teaching style at all. he makes everyone sit in a BIG circle and then he talks for the rest of the class! no notes and doesn't follow the book so u are on your own!
