Tests are a nice challenge - you won't finish and you won't be able to do all the problems, so it really separates those who know what they're doing from those who don't when it comes to grades. His lectures are great, though. Too bad he left. :(

He has a sense of humor and explains the material clearly. However, he doesn't teach the text and his tests are IMPOSSIBLE. You can understand the text completely, think you understand his lectures, and still do poorly on the exams. Don't TAKE him!

Professor goes by the material very fast. If you want to do well in his algebra class, just know your PROOFS TO KNOW and the computation. That's 80% of his exams. New results where you have to prove something is impossible. He's very helpful great overall

Teaches subject the way it was meant to be taught. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I can't say enough good things about this prof. Be warned, you will *NOT* have an easy time, but he prepares you excellently if you put in the effort.

he is a funny guy, but his tests are incredibly hard. it didn't help that the TA i had for that class wasn't exactly the best person either. do the homework!! i made the mistake of not doing any, and barely passed. so do homework!!!!

By far the best math prof at UCI! Teaches clearly and effectivly. The test is hard, so be prepared, but it is also curved so it is completly fair. If you are afaid of math, take his course, he is willing to help in his office hours and he is really good.

Gives incredibly ludicruously difficult tests. It's like taking tests from the Riddler. Definitley a nice guy though, very enthusiastic and willing to help. Just be prepared to be humbled!

Very, very, very hard teacher. I mean his exams are hard. When I took it, a 17 out of 56 was a B+!!! But he is overall the best 6A teacher out there. He could teach really well if you pay attention, but he gives horrible exams.
