He is horrible, he over complicated the class mad only a handful of students passed. It doesnt look like hell be teaching at UCF again but if he comes back STAY AWAY. I spoke with someone that took the same subject with another prof. And said they loved it, wish I would have looked him up first because the other reviews are 100% factual.

He is a nice enough guy who teaches a tough subject. To him, it's relatively simple, but in reality it's very difficult. He blows through 200 slides in 2.5 hours. The midterm was tough and the final was brutal. I wanted to like him but he made it hard to do so. Avoid if possible.

Dr. Dickie is a nice guy and all but he is not a very organized or clear in the classroom. His notes are rather unstructured and examples given in class don't quite prepare you for the tests and homework. He's fair on grading and gives a small boost at the end of the semester if you participated in class.

The worst professor I have ever experienced. He teaches his class as if we are PhD candidates in statistics. He does not speak clearly and rarely works out problems. He has a very monotone voice. Expect to teach yourself most of what you "learn" in class. Very poor communications skills... Youtube and my classmates were the only reason I got an A.

By far the worst teacher I have ever had. Posts slides 5 min before class, goes through 90 slides a class, and its very hard to translate the notes to the homework. 1st test was brutal, 2nd came right from the practice exam, heard the final is brutal. Take Soskin, Heard hes not great but at least you will get a good grade. Nice guy, bad teacher

He was absent one evening so his GTA "taught" class for one hour. I learned more from the GTA then all other classes combined. Dr. D does not return HW with feedback prior to the test so studying is very difficult. Clarity is sub-par.

Quite possibly the worst professor I have ever had. Not clear in teaching style, repeats the powerpoints exactly, does not get back to e-mails and does not provide any sort of feedback. His tests are tricky and he doesn't give any practice problems for the exams.

Not too clear on material. Does not follow book. Looks like Dana Carvey. Likes to wear linen pants.

This class drags on, and on, and on, and on....He lectures EXACTLY from the powerpoint slides and never deviates with extra information. Therefore, you basically have to teach yourself. This was a Master's level class, but he kept us until the very last minute, meaning all 3 hours we had to stay. Tests are ok, project is hard, class is boring.

I was totally lost in this class! Too much theory and doesn't explain work. This is a graduate class but statistics work is so far above any statistics undergrad work. Acts like you had statistics last semester. There were Engineers that were lost and I'm an Accounting Major and was lost. Unfortunately, it is required for MBA. Nice guy though.

Very, very boring. He just lectures on and on and made me lose interest in the topic. Smart, but bad at conveying information. The takehome tests helped, but there is NO grading scale. He takes off more points off one paper then another for the same work. It's an Easy B or higher, but it's not worth taking him if you can find another professor.

Review for Honors. I had trouble on the first test (they're essay tests) and ran out of time. I went to his office a lot, he was extremely helpful. Go in with a list of questions, so he knows how to help. Really nice, the 2nd test + final were both takehome. It helped me a ton. If you do the work, he'll help you out. He also curved the 1st test!

If you ask for help he will help you but he's not inviting. The entire class is one research paper and is basically your grade. Lectures are the most boring I've ever had. All around about an average class that's on the boring side.

He's very nice, clear, approachable, and funny if you pay attention. Impossible to fail this class if you do what he tells you. He knows that you have a lot of other stuff going on with school and he's pretty understanding.

Pretty easy class. Lectures are pretty boring, but are not mandatory. This class is mostly a big research paper with a few random, easy assignements scattered in to complement it. There are 3 easy tests that you really can not study for. It's easy to get a B, a little hard to get an A, but almost impossible to fail if you just do the busy work.

Had him for this and Research Methods. He is enthusiastic about EE and if you go to class, take notes,do study questions, you can do well in class. He is not interested in teaching material for RM but he is helpful with paper and clear in expectations. If you follow directions on the paper and do it well, you can get an A.

Lectures are very dry- I became a master at doodeling- but he gives VERY thorough notes. He is very helpful and very caring. Extremely nice guy- concerned with making sure you learn REALISTIC economics. Gives bank of questions for tests and chooses two of them. Go to class and do the test reviews- very possible to get an A

Yes, I know I put high ratings, but he is helpful and clear. Much more interested in the projects than in the class. Lectures are VERY BORING though, especially if you've taken stats or econometrics classes before. If you do well on the paper you will do well in class.
