Very unorganized, I showed up every class and never learned anything aside from what to say if i work at a mcdonalds drive thru. He assigns homework and doesn't mark them until 24 hours before final grades are due. waste of time!

Incredible Professor. Has a great wealth of knowledge and is always willing to make one for his students. He made my experience at Canadore College a great one. I would not have attended 2nd year if he wasn't teaching Journalism.

Furlong was an amusing teacher but his ability to stay on topic was horrible. Assignments are never given out and he always wondered what we wanted to do for our period with him. Most teachers have a schedule that they follow. He has a story for all that he teaches and they sometimes get the better of him as he trails off and forgets the lesson.

Furlong was both amazing and a waste of time. He taught a lot of life-skills that have been helpful, but not enough when I got into the business. The year I was in his class he was voted as the hotest teacher in North Bay - I agree. There's a certain sexiness about him.

Prof. Furlong was one of the two best teachers I have had in my life. He cared about his students and his profession and expected us to do the same. He was also incredibly intelligent and witty and challenged us all to be better writers and communicators.
