Comment:

This is a graduate level course and he treats it like such. His tests are really specific, but if you record his lectures and study a lot every day, you'll be fine. I learned so much from this class and I feel very prepared for medical school now because of him. Glad I finally got to take a class with him and wish I could've taken more.

Very tricky tests, but extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Cares about the students and the material. Be prepared to work seriously hard for good grades, but its not impossible. Would take another of his classes given the chance.

Dr. Gabriele is probably the best bio professor I've had. He makes sure you understand the material, rather than just being able to memorize and recall for exams. Histology is a hard class and you'll have to work hard to get a good grade, but it's definitely a great class to take!

The man is a genius. I was nervous about this class, but ended up doing really well. He is so helpful and knew my name 3 weeks into the course. His tests are 75 multiple choice and are the most fair tests I have taken. There are 3. If you go to class, spend your life in the library (literally), an A or B is possible. Work your ass off though.

Anatomy is an extremely time comprehensive course. For me it took 8+ hrs/wk studying. GO TO CLASS, don't fall behind. Dr. G is a great professor- go to his office hours- he helps tons! SI sessions are somewhat helpful around test time (practice tests). Makes an effort to get to know students in a huge class.

Dr. Gabriele is a great professor. Anatomy is a difficult class simply because of the amount of material you need to learn. Dr. G breaks difficult concepts down so they are easy to understand. Dont miss class, keep up withh the material,and you'll do fine.

Dr. G is THE absolute best! This is a really hard class, but he makes it very interesting, and he explains really difficult concepts in a way you can understand. Study hard, every night! 3 lecture tests, 3 lab tests. Get Dr. Kancler for lab. The two together are great!

Took Bio 290 for the first time over May session with Dr. G. It was very intense, but turned out to be one of my favorite classes ever. Dr. G is an excellent professor and makes anatomy interesting and fun. Take him if you can! Study all the time...and you will be fine.

Such a GREAT PROFESSOR! SO HELPFUL! He's AWESOME to work with and makes histology ten times more enjoyable. Lab is not bad at all, no lab reports, just three practicals. He even lets the class listen to music will they work. I HIGHLY recommend his class!!!

One of the best teachers at JMU, knows how to teach this class, emphasizes on repitition so terms stick in your head. Funny, caring, incredibly smart, hot as hell. Hardest class I've ever taken but definitely one of my favorite. TAKE HIM FOR ANYTHING YOU CAN.
