Comment:

Learned what I needed to learn to pass the class but was not happy with the topics he spoke about it lectures. Almost always related his points to his political views. Would insult opposite views and ultimately try and teach about his view of politics to the students. I felt that is was uncalled for and distracting. Made me very angry.

Comment:

I really enjoyed taking this class online. It was very easy, and the work took little time to do. If you take the class online you will have 1 assignment every week for about 2 or 3 weeks, then he provides a study guide for the test, which literally goes in order of the questions on the actual exam. Would highly recommend taking this class.

Comment:

This class is all about the lecture, so if you can't sit through a heavy lecture for a while I don't recommend taking his classes. Tests were based completely off of the lecture and if you memorized the notes from lecture you would be fine. Quizzes were online but "answers" would be posted before hand for help on the quizzes.

Comment:

Awesome professor really cares about his students and their futures. He was an awesome professor who made class as amusing and fun as possible. His test were based of the lectures and stuff he says he also gives the essay questions in advance so you can work on them and get feed back before the test date. He is really helpful when it comes project.

Lectures are insanely boring if you are not interested in history. He gets off topic a lot and it can be hard to focus if you have short attention span. Tests are based completely off lectures so if you dont go to class you wont pass.

Professor Goldman was extremely tough. He is a smart guy that is passionate and knows his stuff, he just doesn't know how to teach in a way that is easy to grasp. Huge essays on every exam from the textbook, but you do get the questions ahead of time. Two big projects that will boost your grade. If you miss even one class, you'll fall behind.

I struggled to get a B in this class. Lectures are long and boring. Tests are hard and you have no study guide. Should study the textbook and your notes from lecture. One good thing is that he gives you the essay questions for the test in advance and allows you to turn them in early to correct your answers. Project at end of semester will help you!

Comment:

Professor Goldman is a great guy and gives great lectures. Sometimes they get boring but most of the time it is easy to pay attention and take notes from the slides. It is hard to get an A because he grades the essay questions harshly but it is an easy class if you go to class and take notes.

You have to go to class in order to even pass. The tests can be difficult because you aren't exactly sure what his multiple choice questions would be.

He's a great teacher, if you don't like history like me the lecture can get a little boring, but he knows a lot about history and definently knows what he is talking about. Go to class or at least get someones notes all the lectures are on the test. He gives you the essay questions in advanced so they are pretty easy. Not easy, but not hard.

Professor Goldman is an amazing professor, he is so smart and you learn something really cool every lecture. If you don't show up for class you won't pass the tests as every question comes from the lectures. Very easy class with an awesome professor!

I passed the class only because I actually showed up. If you're not there, you will probably not succeed. He's honestly one of the coolest people I have ever met, and you can really tell he knows his stuff and that he loves his job.

I passed this class, but this was definitely one of the harder courses I've ever taken. I struggled with his tests quite a bit, but I got perfect scores on both writing assignments. He is VERY specific on the way he wants his two papers written. The lectures are long, but he tries to keep them interesting. Good man, just a tough grader.

Good class for an easy A if you do the assignments. There is typically one assignment due per week, 3 assignments per module, and 4 exams. The assignments are very simple and the tests are easy because he provides a study guide.

Don't expect to get out of class early ever. Graded on 2 papers, vocab quizzes (Can have the words with you), & 4 tests with essay questions. 5 essay Q's given a head of time but only 3 on test. MUST go to class or you won't pass the test. He is funny and has a passion for history.

His whole tests are based on his lectures and has 3 free resonse essays o the tests which you need to get the answer from the textbooks. Extremely tough grader and will absolutely not give you a second chance. Also make sure you do well because theres no more than 12 grades in the class so if you mess up on one, it can mess up your whole grade.

Professor Goldman was a great history teacher to me. His lectures were clear cut and studying his lectures helped me pass test. I goofed off first half of semester but after I got back focused, semester was a breeze. He is very funny and makes lectures interesting. Taking again for AMH2020.
