Really nice professor. He makes the class really easy, and he gives open-note quizzes every week. The exams are straight-forward, and he goes over everything thoroughly in class. He makes it so that it's really easy for non-math majors to do well in his class.

Doctor Bartelt is the best math teacher that I have ever had. He is a great professor who wants to help his students learn and he is always willing to go over something again. He is also funny and his class is not very difficult. He doesn?t try to trick you and his main focus is that you understand what you are doing at the basic level.

TAKE ALL MATH CLASSES FROM BARTELT. he did everything in his power to make sure you understand the material. Doesn't assign a lot of homework. Quizzes don't count. 5 tests in a semester. Sometimes confuses himself with simple math. VERY CLEAR & UNDERSTANDING. AWESOME TEACHER !

I'm not a big math fan but this class was easy for me. he did everything in his power to make sure you understand the material. he is very sweet but sometimes confuses himself with simple math. Doesn't assign a lot of homework. Quizzes don't count. 5 tests in a semester. Sometimes a little bit scatterbrained. Overall great teacher. Take his class !

Made calculus very easy. Explained things in a way that made new concepts very simple. Reviewed concepts from previous maths, doesn't expect you to know everything. Gives suggested hw which was helpful and practice tests. If you do practices, tests are easy. MAPLE was hard but he made it not worth much. Wanted students to do well.

Great teacher!Made it so you could understand it!Goto class take notes and do practice problems and you will do great!Gives you a review for the test,DO IT!Don't be lazy and you'll do great.He reviews basic math alot,its easy to forget,doesn't make you seem stupid but really helps you.I HIGHLY recommend him he is amazing!

Class with Bartelt was so easy. I could've skipped half the classes and still gotten my A. He gets confused easily, but in such an easy class, him screwing up simple addition really won't mess you up too bad or you shouldn't be in college. Kinda wonder how he became a professor, but he is really nice and class is easy.

He is a great teacher, he really wants you to learn it, very helpful outside in office hours, he tries to break everything down into simple terms to help you understand but not as low as making you seem stupid. Maples are okay his instructions on how to do them are good in coinciding with class. Final is work 40% if it helps your grade overall.

He was a great professor. Very helpful outside of class, and very clear when explaining stuff. Puts things as simply as possible to help you understand, but not in a way that makes you feel stupid or anything. I wish I could have him for 240 this semester but he isn't teaching it. Definitely recommend him if you have the choice though.

I hate math. But Bartelt was one of the nicest, sweetest proffs I've ever had and he is a great teacher, too so he made learning the stuff not as bad. He explains clearly and is always more than willing to help if you don't get something. You should totally take any of his classes!

I would not recommend Dr. Bartelt to anyone who is structured in any way. His thoughts jump all over the place and the class is left to fill in the blanks. The Maple projects are hard but the tests are easy. Take a refresher algebra course if you haven't taken it since high school. He leaves most problems unfinished in his examples.
