The guy has this funny, nervous energy in the way he lectures. Class is easy enough. Dont slack on the lab assignments though because whoever marks them is pretty harsh.

Martin is awesome! He makes every day unique and holds the class' attention through jokes, gifs, and asides. The labs he gave every other week were helpful and simple to understand, as well, the in class assignments helped with class engagement throughout the lectures (though it makes attendance mandatory). Assignments are a thing but are easy.

Fun, cool prof and you can see through his classes how he loves his field by the way he explains the topic to us. He explains in great detail on every slide, while sneaking in Captain Future and other 'meme' things on it. Very helpful when asked questions

Super funny (especially if you get British humour) and always willing to help out. Assignments and labs are fairly easy and his lectures are always interesting. I don't have any electives left, but if I did, I'd be taking more of his classes!

Amazing prof and class. His lectures were fun and informative and he made the class manageable with the short weekly assignments and having the lectures online. The amount of physics was a little high but the formulas were easy to understand. Final was mostly on applied knowledge rather than the math aspect which was nice. Over all great class!

Decently interesting class if you are interested in space. Assignments are pretty easy, labs are easy enough to get above an 80. The tests weren't that easy but all you had to do was study the slides and you would be fine. Very nice professor who tried to get the students involved.

Martin is a very helpful proff, and quite funny. But after being out of school for 4 years this class was not what I expected. Definitely had to refresh the memory. If your not one for physics or math it will be more work than expected

Such a fun class! Martin is very friendly, clear and kind and answers ANY questions. If you don't have a science background and are expecting an easy credit, be careful.. There was lots of business majors in my class that didn't expect as many calculations and chemistry/physics to be involved! Overall, a very enjoyable class :).

Professor Beech is a VERY FUNNY guy! His geeky sense of humour made class interesting. The mathematics aren't terribly tough but you can always get help from Dr. Beech if need be! The labs are interesting and fun. If you put in the work in this class, you will get a good mark!

Great guy, but DO NOT take this class if you're not interested in astronomy. I took this class as my science for my arts degree because I thought it would be easy. Had I been interested in it, it would be easy but the content is very dry. He is very helpful and the lab is easy, thats where I recieved all my marks and how I still ended with an 80.

This man is hilarious! I found that he made the History of Astronomy so fascinating! There is no textbook, and if you just attend class you will do awesome! 2 short papers, a bunch of easy assignments, and a final. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hands down one of the best proff's at the University his slides are always right to the point and easy to understand and if you ever have questions or don't understand something he usually knows the answer of the top of his head and is happy to explain.Definatly a good Proff to take a class from.
