I respect Prof. Druggar a lot... and he has now retired... when I took the class I felt it was a little old... but none the less it was a fun class. It's was worth taking it.

Comment:

Has a clear passion for bio, but also a clear passion for himself. Labs were severely lacking -listening to a CD for hours is the ideal way to make your students go to sleep. For someone so excited about the subject, he could have made it much more interesting. I have to give him credit for all the extra-credit opportunities, though.

Try to avoid this professor at all costs. He is only into himself and the class itself is pretty bad. One of the worst classes I took as a student at Syracuse University, mainly because of the teacher.

get ready for...THE DRUGER SHOW! this class is really all about him and his accomplishments, this gets old really fast. Not a great teacher, just reviews info from the cds with HIS voice on them. tests were harder then they should have been, material was alright. overall, not a great class, i would say try to avoid it.

I did well in this class but his teaching methods are mediocre at best. He thinks of himself as an SU celebrity (see life size cardboard cutout at the bookstore) and I think this obscures the course content itself. He clearly enjoys teaching but seems to have become complacent in a course structure that is bordering on irrelevant.

By far the most comedic professors here at syracuse, compares the wife to a parasite, answer keys are thrown out of the window, has a great presence. Don't let that fool you though, his tests are hard and RANDOM, but he gives you a lot of room to improve by doing extra credit. His lectures have nothing to do with what is taught in rec.

Kind of thinks he's a rock star, raffles off stuff that was touched by him. Likes to talk to hear himself, lectures not really related, but you still have to go to them. Tests are easy if you look over the old ones he provides.

I'm definitely not a science person, but I got an A in this class. It requires time, but with a decent amount of effort anybody can get an A. You can even study from the previous years' exams. He makes it so non-bio majors can do well and enjoy themselves too.

All old exams are in the libraries w/ the answer key. all exams are same questions but reworded. so many opportunities for extra credit (optional lectures)CDs are a bit boring but he does a great job at explaining the material in an easy way.
