I'm not a huge fan of how she (or really any nursing instructor in this program) handles one-on-one situations with students, but she's a great teacher. Med/Surg is an interesting subject already but having her explain it all instead of reading that brick of a textbook is a plus. Very monotone though so be sure to record lectures and type notes.

Her tests are tough mainly because she tests over 50+ pages of notes each exam (6-7 chapters) and does not give a review. I would take her again because she is very knowledgeable and fair.

Her exams are based almost solely off her lectures. Her lectures keep your attention and she is very knowledgeable. I learned so much from her class! She is a tough cookie, but she is fair and willing to help students who need it. I loved her teaching style and as long as you take good notes and read the book, you will be fine!

Prof Distel presents an information-dense lecture that is full of great information. Don't skip lectures. She is eager to help students who are willing to work, and she is straightforward with information. Excellent teacher. You'll get the grade you earn.

She knows her stuff very well. Just record and listen to what she says in class and u will excel. Don't have any problems in your clinical because you will definitely be in her office scared to all. Overall study her recording and you will do well.

She was a waste of time as a professor. She liked certain students. If you fall in her not likes category then don't even bother approaching her. She can be rude too! Oh well I did my work and made an A (no thanks to her) Hooray for me.

Some students have said that she plays favorites- I did not find this to be true. From what I have seen she helps anyone who asks and values a student who understands that they are a student and are not an equal to the teacher.She is a wealth of knowledge and welcomes even past students to call her if they ever need to. I love her!
