I enjoyed taking Professor Stephanou's Anatomy 1 class. She's a bit disorganized in the way she presents her lectures, but overall a great teacher. She's very sweet and always answers questions. 4 lecture exams, 6 lab exams, and 2 quizzes. Study the notes she uploads and read through the chapters. I got an A but I did a lot of studying.

It's a tough college level class. What did you expect? Read every day, especially the test/quiz notes she uploads. Show up everyday, do read the book to back up the notes she uploads, récord class lectures if you want (would recommend for tough conceptual stuff) and do every extra credit. Her class will force you to be responsible.

She's cold and judgmental. She knows the subject for sure but her attitude towards students leaves a lot to be desired.

I took Stephanou's Physio class over summer and would not recommend her to people who have another choice. She is very unorganized, goes on tangents, makes explanations more difficult than they need to be, and shows favoritism to a few students. She constantly preaches time management without practicing it herself.

I took her class over summer 2016. She was so mean to certain students. She didn't want to answer questions, she goes off on tangents about certain professors. I usually never rate on rate my professor but I just want those to know that if you're going into a clinical masters program she is not the one for you. She DOESNT care.

This lady is the WORST Professor I've had in my life! And I'm coming back to school after receiving a BA so I've had many Professors. She's totally unorganized, scribbles her notes on the board and is so unclear with her explanations. She knocks points and forgets to tally up all ur points for an exam. She made me hate a subject a subject I love.

I highly recommend this professor. Anatomy is not an easy course, but she literally gives you all the notes that correlate with her tests. If you pay attention, attend class and study regularly, an A is reachable. She really takes the time to explain things and she is very approachable. This class is mainly memorization. Study everyday!

It took me the first two tests to get used to Professor Stephanou's exam and grading style. She is extremely open-minded & perky for her age! Whenever students had questions she would delve into them, even if they were somewhat irrelevant. She gives a good cushion on grading, but a lot of students still expect it to be easy, which it's not!

After taking all of my pre-medical requirements, I would say Dr. Stephanou is average. While I found her a little disorganized, she strives to be fair and sticks to the same grading system. Her tests are hard, but she provides study guides that prepare you for them. Overall, she is ok.

AMAZING! She wants her students to do well. She tells you exactly what she expects from you. Tests are very hard, but if you study hard, they are exactly what is covered in class. She makes awesome dorky jokes, while maintaining professionalism. She is willing to answer any question, and help explain things over and over.

WONDERFUL professor. She makes plenty of corny jokes and sometimes goes off on tangents about food/recipes, but she is fantastic and sweet. She explains the material very well. Test and labs are straightforward. Take notes in class!! Write down everything! Looking forward to enrolling in physio with her!

Class is super tough . Which I find easy are the lab exams . A's all of them . The tough are the lecture exams. You have to study a lot. She gives study guides . Overall She is a great teacher . Anatomy is very tough subject . IF you want a lot of help you should take her. And she is very crystal clear . I will love to take her for Physiology.

Amazing professor. All the neg comments about her being boring-- false. Listen, physio isn't going to be fascinating to everyone...she is SO clear when explaining concepts and repeats it till you get it!! She uses white board, textbook, & study guides to hammer it in. You have to work for your grade people!! My fave prof at SMC. Great teacher!!

This professor doesn't have a great method of approaching Physiology. I took her a few semesters ago, and retook Physiology with another professor. Spending time memorizing countless terms, takes time away from learning important processes. My class went from 30 to 12-14 students, which is why I don't believe there are more good reviews than bad.

Great Instructor. The class requires a lot of study time. The tests are a bit tough but should be no problem if you put in a lot of time to study and really master the material. I had the pleasure of taking her class and am fortunate she was available seeing as most of the other instructors don't have good ratings. Don't take Azuma!
