Comment:

Her class was one of the worst experiences I have had in my schooling. She was rude, unavailable by email before the final and often tried to teach things through email. Very disappointing experience. What was supposed to be a fun class turned out to be a very frustrating and stressful class due to her teaching and communication style.

Mary Marino is the worst professor I have ever had. She took over our Med Terminology class and ruined it. She is unfair, unclear, rude, and disrespectful.She rants on instead of teaching,teaches nothing from the text,only teaches 2 days b4 the test via email.no office hours,doesnt email back except to degrade you.Ruined a mark boosting class!!!

Do not take medical terminology from this woman! She has completely ruined its reputation by changing Stile's fun class of memorizing terms to a dreadful language class. Not at all what I signed up for. She expects students to know random bits of information, that she knows from having lived for nearly a century, but does not actually teach it.

By far the worst professor I've ever had. She is condescending and assumes you already know information way beyond what we're taught in school. She's been pulled out of retirement, and it's too bad. As a prof, a huge disappointment. I had to sit at the front just to try and be able to understand her useless rants. Frankly, a huge waste of time.

Not a good prof at all. Constantly repeats herself and goes off topic. Lectures go around and around and around in circles. Seems to think she is superior and does not encourage questions. Almost condescending. Content could be interesting, but she makes it very difficult to understand. She's the reason I'm not a Linguistics major right now!

Vague instructions on assignments and tests. Repeated herself many times, tested on things that were not discussed in class. May be a very knowlegable woman, but doesn't seem to know how to teach. Maybe she should retire. Avoid this professor...take the class from someone else.

the worst prof i've had in my career, does not explain well, rude to students (she spits too), and old woman who should be knitting, not teaching something this tricky, ruined the experience of my language elective, if you have a choice, do not take her class(es), to some it up, TERRIBLE CLASS AND INSTRUCTOR, COMPLETE WASTER OF TIME AND $ TTFN!

Took an interesting subject and made it dreadfully boring. Unclear and rambling, and slightly condescending in tone. Annoying tendency to show off her knowledge of Dakota. Tests and assignments were vague and unclear in what was expected. Would often repeat the same material across several classes. A doddering old woman who should probably retire.

Marino's tests are absolutely killer! She is unclear of her expectations and is snotty to anyone with questions. Nearly half the class droped out after the midterm. Do the transfer thing as previously suggested, or take it in the summer with the TA Mark Smith.

I hated going to this class, and I mostly didn't even bother. The prof is probably the worst I've ever had. If you actually raise your hand in class and say something she just tries to make you feel stupid. Very unapproachable. The TA shoud be teaching the class, he is actually good at teaching.
