Amazing! Fun material to learn about, and she made it even better! The textbook was "required" but I only read it for part of the course and still received a good grade! She posts her notes beforehand, and tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests. Attending lectures isn't too important, but I would've never missed lectures with her!

Made the mistake of taking this as my senior level option. Tests are all long answer written, and are marked incredibly hard (spelling counts on all of the exams). Final is cumulative and covers all of her lectures and 12 chapters of the textbook (which some material doesn't overlap from lecture). Not worth the time/effort for just an option.

Fantastic prof. She's very knowledgeable in her field and very willing to help/clarify anything. She doesn't allow phones or taking notes on laptops in class. Tests are all long answer and you need to know your stuff or you will fail. If you put the work in getting an A is definitely possible but its still a 300 level course. great experience !!

Amazing professor! Always willing to help whether it is about the class or simply school advice. Class is always interesting. She is clear about what you need to know about the tests. And she is simply an amazing professor. I have learned so much from her. All you have to do is actually put effort into the class and you are guaranteed to get an a.

Was talked into taking this as a GPA booster and had to withdraw at risk of ruining my high GPA! Final worth 50% and all tests are long answer. Prepare to spend A LOT of time memorizing and adhering to her strict definitions of terms and concepts. As a fourth year 'A' student I was overwhelmed by this course.

Definitely knows what she's talking about. Lays out exactly what she expects from students before exams and puts a lot of work into giving students extra resources to help them succeed. Heavy course though, not really an option course.

She's "Just okay". Her testing borders on ridiculous (memorize, regurgitate, forget. Repeat until nauseous.) Clear and knowledgeable, though.

What a great prof. Her class is fun, she's really easy to listen too, and very fair. Not at all self-absorbed, and if she does ask you to rate her here, maybe it's just cause she likes the feedback. After this class, I'm considering changing my major. I would definitley take another course by her.

Her class room expectations are very strict, which is great in a theatre with 300 students. DO NOT get caught talking during a lecture (she has the evilest of evil eyes)!

I loved her classes. Her lectures were interesting and she made the course material fun to learn. I also really enjoyed her sense of humour. I only wish I had taken some advanced courses with her, but Anth wasn't my major.

She's great. Intelligient and current. An active researcher and not just a lecturer. She expects you to work and to know the subject matter, but is very specific about what to study.
