Dr. Huebert is a great prof who cares about his students. Really approachable in office hours and always looking to help. His lectures can get a bit messy but he posts his notes online which helps. His marking is very fair as long as you put the effort in. The stimulation at the end was pretty interesting also!

Professor Huebert is an excellent instructor and a good man, although I found his class very difficult. I didn't do incredibly well on the exam and the assignments, although I generally felt that I made my best effort. Still, he is a great man, and extremely intelligent. He gives very good lectures.

Dr. Huebert was one of the worst profs I've had at U of C. While he is clearly very knowledgeable about Strategic Studies, his lectures were repetitive and very difficult to follow. Was very rude to students and during his office hours.

Dr. Huebert is a solid prof. He has a great mind for political science and will make you think. However, some things are left ambiguous and I feel like I don't always capture the concepts he wants us to understand. Extremely helpful 1-on-1 - I've never been in a prof's office so much. Paper was long but marked fairly, I did better than I thought

Rob isn't that great of a professor, contrary to what everyone else says. He's very confusing and ambiguous during lecture. I sent an email to both him and the TA and didn't get a response for two weeks. We also got our term paper back AFTER the final exam and as of today (Jan. 5th), I'm still waiting for my final mark (exam was on Dec. 13th!)

Dr. Huebert can come off as a bit scary, he is very straight forward and doesn't mince words. He is a very fair marker, and if you put forth effort and try in his class he will give you a good grade. Readings are not essential, but helpful for in depth knowledge. Lectures are interesting and attendance recommended. Love this guy, really good prof!

This is my 2nd class with Huebert. A little repetitive of 381 if you took it with him. He is by far my fav prof. He is incredibly helpful, especially giving input back from your paper proposal. He will hold your hand through it if you try hard enough. He is incredibly intelligent. Simulation is also a lot of fun if you get into it.

Huebert is an interesting speaker, but I did not enjoy the fact that the first third of the semester was spent on "defining the field" and studying its critics. On the bright side, both the prof and the TA were very helpful regarding the term papers and the grading scale is amazing: A = 80-89!

He knows his stuff but missed too many lectures and is the slowest marker the world has ever seen. You go into the final knowing 20% of your grade. I did the final last week and still haven't received my term paper back. TA could have been better as well. The simulation exercise was a ton of fun. Recommend the class, not the prof.

Super interesting prof who really cares about his students. His classes are really informative and compelling, but I could have lived without the TAs lectures... especially the part where he told the class how boring we are for 50 minutes straight, because he wasn't prepared for the lecture. Simulation exercise was fun.

This is my second class with prof huebert and i have to say, he is by far, the best pro at uofc. his lectures are untresting, he is very knowledgable and loves to help you when u have a problem. Excllent prof!

Great lectures! interesting readings, and engages the class in discussion. The simulation exercise was also quite neat! Be sure to do the readings and attend class, it's demanding but a great class! On a negative point Dr Huberte tends to miss too many classes. Highly recommend!!

Great prof. The class is not hard but you still need to put in a fair amount of effort to do well. Consisted of a paper proposal, term paper, participation in a game of diplomacy that we played at the end of the semester and a final. Really nice guy who knows his stuff. Strongly recommend.
