Comment:

Mary is sassy and can be a little rude sometimes. She says she takes attendance on random days but she never does. Most classes are lectures or watching a video but both are very boring. The only work required is 10 drawings that she assigns and allows you to work on during class. Also a presentation at the end of the semester but its very easy.

Comment:

Seems passionate about art, but usually played videos to do the teaching for her. She claims you don't have to be good at art to get a good grade, since it is a Gen Ed class. Yet, she told me my artwork was "pathetic" and "boring" even though I did the assignment and actually tried hard. Pretty rude if you ask me!!

I skipped her class for a month straight and still had an A. She is the sweetest woman and truly loves what she teaches. She talks about events on campus before every class which is cool but she can get sassy if you don't act right. Easy A, just do your drawings and put effort into the presentation and you'll be fine!

Comment:

Ms. Prather's class is probably the easiest I've taken at App. Ten assignments over the semester with a final presentation project. Very easy to get 100's on, even if you cant draw well. She says she takes attendance each class but really only does on days assignments are due. Easy gen-ed A!

VERY EASY CLASS! All you have to do is draw, and if you suck (like i do) it doesn't matter cause you'll still get a 100. She's extremely ditzy and spends majority of the class taking about events around campus. She says attendance is mandatory but only takes attendance on days assignments are due. I skipped her class for 3 weeks straight. Easy A

For most of the semester, I dreaded this class because it was so boring. All that happened was she'd talk about current events for 30 minutes & then we'd watch some old movie about an artist. But I left the class appreciating her because of her kindness and how much she was willing to work with students and help their grade (in a fair, honest way).

This was an easy A but I didn't really learn anything about art. She is kind of silly in a way that I don't enjoy coming from a professor and is all over the place. Her assignments are easy but they take a long time to do.

She knows a lot when it comes to art. She's a cool professor but the class was boring. Easy A but if you hate art(why take this class?) you'll probably hate it more and if you like art then its is easy. It's easy to get an A if you show up and do the small art assignments. Exempt from the final bc of good grades and only one "big" presentation.

Easy A for sure. Do the small sketchbook assignments and you're gold. No tests or quizzes. One project thats super easy & there is a final but if you get an A and attend then you dont have to take it. Shes all over the place and does spend 15 min on current events but shes laid back and goofy. I would joke that she was high bc of how silly she was.

She's nice, but all over the place. Lectures are boring and hardly informative. No tests, little easy art assignments. Mandatory attendance is the worst waste of time for this class. Not that she even takes attendance most days. Terrible class, Easy A. Oh and she'll spend a good chunk of time trying to figure out how to use the computer.

She's such a fun and lay back teacher. Barely any work to do but do the small assignments in class and definitely take advantage of the extra points. Going to class my seem a little pointless but she usually gives out assignments to do during and out of class so definitely try to attend class.

She spends the first 15 minutes discussing what is happening around campus and the rest of the class flipping through a slideshow or playing an outdated movie about an artist. Class never ends early. She doesn't use ASULearn. There are no quizzes or tests. The textbook isn't used. The assignments are easy art projects. The final is a presentation.

If you want a class that needs no effort, go ahead. I thought it was disappointing, boring and the fact that attendance was mandatory was a waste of my time. I love art and she is such a nice lady, but the class was extremely frustrating because we did nothing for 75 minutes but watch old videos and talk about what was happening on campus.

This was the easiest class I have taken at Appalachian. Having said that this class was also the most boring and didn't learn anything, I felt like I knew more about art than she did. Not the most friendly person either. I would much rather take Art History again than this. The class incorporated 3rd grade assignments and a optional final. SMDDD

The hardest part about this class is trying to stay awake. Purely lecture, no notes what-so-ever. A couple in-class assignments and a project at the end. If you do all of those there is no final. Easiest Gen Ed ever and she usually ends class early

Easiest class you will ever take. The class consists of 5 in class assignments that take 5 minutes each and they are all completion grades. There is a project at the end of the semester but it's very easy. She is the nicest lady and her lectures are only pictures in power points. You never need to take notes. The Final at the end is optional also.

Honestly the most boring class I have ever taken. I don't think she knew that it was that boring when she was talking. She doesn't ever start class on time and she talks about whats going on around campus for about 20 minutes before class starts. She seems nice at first and in lecture but in her office not so much the same lady. Avoid taking.

I absolutely love this professor! She is so funny and one of the nicest ladies I've ever met! The class itself is very easy; hardly any homework and no tests. Just make sure you come to class because there are a lot of in-class assignments that you will only know about if you show up. One of the easiest classes I've had! Definitely take this class!
