Comment:

Dr. Wolfe is very nice, but she is not good at giving instructions. She was tough at grading papers. She allows students to redo one of their papers. I recommend taking Dr. Trevitte for Effective Writing.

I had her for PDP 350. She didn't follow the syllabus. In fact, she changed dates so much that she had to hand out a new syllabus. There were a ton of readings, class was boring, and 50 minutes dragged on forever. She's really nice, but she will analyze your paper super hard for a class that is supposed to introduce you to Bridgewater.

Her English 110 class was fairly easy. I didn't do as well as I'd hoped on a paper and she let me redo it after the due date. She never checks her email and is often not present at her office hours. The lecture itself is self-explanatory material broken up by little readings and activities. Let's you turn in the paper then fix your mistakes.

Wolfe is a tough professor, don't get me wrong, but she's really good though. She is excellent at what she does and she knows a lot about writing, maybe a little too much. She makes you realize that this isn't high school anymore and she wants nothing but perfection. If you ask for help, she'll give you undivided attention. She makes you work an A

Prof. Wolfe was a very interesting professor. You could tell that she did not even enjoy the class that much. Classes consisted of discussions on the four dimensions of PDP and the nightly readings (mainly short stories). Everybody said that she graded hard, but I did not think her revisions were unreasonable. Easy A.

Ok so lots of people complain about her... and early in the morning the class is not the best one to have. BUT you only have to write 4 papers and you get multiple chances to correct them before you get the grade. So compared to alot of gwrit classes its really not so bad.

If you are an English major, then DON'T take a class with this woman; she'll rip apart a well-written, grammatically correct essay and claim that is is "not you". She's impossible to please, and she assigns essays that are due one class later. I looked her up on this site before I took her class and thought I'd give her a chance- BAD MOVE.

STAY AWAY FROM TAKING A CLASS WITH HER! Her classes are exteremely boring and she reads from the textbook the majority of the class. She rips apart papers with any creativity and will mark something wrong on the rough draft and if you fix it for the final paper, she will most likely rip that same section apart! I took college level classes for the last 2 years of highschool.. and boy, she didn't even come close to those. She read out of the book for 30 minutes about how to cite things, like it wasn't obvious enough. She's a nice lady, but is condescending and expects plain, non-creative papers. Not for the artists, or people who know how to write.

Don’t waste your time taking anything with this woman. She is condescending and unhelpful. She does not reply to emails. She is not understanding or compassionate. I dropped her class and took a W. She is rude and quite frankly I felt discriminated against. Good luck. And if you must take something with her, don’t dare attempt an 8am.

I had this class at 8am and wanted to kill myself for getting out of bed and going. Her class is BORING and I was always about to fall asleep. You're allowed to skip 3 classes, BUT to be able to turn a paper or journal in for credit, you have to be present in class. Trick is, something is due EVERY class, so basically, no skipping.. I'd avoid her..
