Perfect for anyone who is trying to boost their mark. I have 0 science background and still managed a good mark in this course. The 4 projects are each worth 15% (its pretty much impossible to not get 100% on the papers) and the other ones are super easy if you put in a decent amount of effort. Exam is hard if you arent familiar with science.

He is an extremely caring prof who is always updating you on Courselink and through email to make sure you are on track and know what's up. Everything is self taught through courselink and the textbook. Course may be difficult with no science or nutrition background and can be content heavy with lots of readings. There are 2 group discussions.

Massimo generally cares about his students and only wants the best for them. He will go out of his way to make sure you have timehelp for anything. The class was 2 discussions, 2 assignments, and 1 final. He makes it so easy to learn and do good in his class, and is also pretty witty. I would take this class again for the fun of it. 1010

I took FOOD 2010 online with Dr. Marcone, his assignments are all very easy and the majority of students had well over 90s GOING INTO the exam. However, the exam being multiplechoice, covers the ENTIRE textbook, and the final questions are extremely specific... many students had their marks drop drastically afterwards!

Terrible prof., not very helpful at all and pretty much has you read the entire textbook as a substitute for actually teaching. Extremely annoying, sends pointless emails every week on how great he is. AVOID AT ALL COST.

I havent finished the class yet but it is true he is very involved with his online course, sending lengthy emails to keep everyone on page. Seems to want everyone to do well. I found the course to be challenging but I am not sure what to expect for the exam. A lot of content!

Dr. Marcone's class was straightforward, and it's true that he sends a lot of emails. However, I've never been able to get this guy to actually ASNWER an email, which for an online class is REALLY frustrating. Therefore, I find the man useless, altho the course is easy.
