Comment:

This was the most unorganized online class I ever took. Some modules were never filled in, and some grades were never posted. What Professor Welford did grade was easy, and she gives good feedback, but I would not recommend anyone take an online class with her. I'm sure she's a joy in person, though.

Comment:

This professor reminds me of rainbows of bunnies, and I think that her lectures could be thought of as a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal. Lots of fluff and not much substance. I'm not being sarcastic, I put a lot of thought into that metaphor.

This professor is much more concerned with expressing her views on social issues than educating her students in matters relevant to the course at hand. There was little to no actual advice on writing papers for academic purposes or otherwise. Most class periods were spent listening to her take on shallow essays or watching YouTube videos. Avoid.

Dr. Welford is an amazing professor. She's super genuine and funny in class, and will help you with literally anything you need. She doesn't keep super strict deadlines on assignments, because she says she understands life gets in the way sometimes of school work. Dr. Welford loves getting to know the students. I thoroughly enjoyed her class. 10/10

Best teacher I've had yet. She very helpful and caring and the only teacher I've had that can actually make me excited to write an essay. She lets you be very creative and open with how you write, very cool class!

Great Professor. She does take attendance every class but if you show up and do assignments, very easy. We read 3 books. Always had review games (student-made) before the quiz. Sometimes allows partner work with quiz. Gives plenty of Extra Credit to make up abs. and quizzes. 3 papers, She does grade papers more seriously, allows revision. TAKE !

Dr. Welford is a great teacher! There are 3 essays you need to write and 3 novels with periodic quizzes but it's easy to get an A. She's such a sweetheart and she's very funny. Loves non-traditional essays. After 3 classes skipped she'll start to lower your grade but she has extra credit opportunities to make up for it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. T! I would SO take her again. She was extremely chill, super funny, and a great teacher. There are only 3 essays in her class and she let's you do pretty much anything you want to with them. Easy grader, easy class, easy reading. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING HER CLASS.

Dr. Welford is the best professor ever. She is so nice, and her assignments are not hard. We read three books in class and all of the quizzes/papers were based off of them. She will let you turn in your assignment as late as you want. (I turned in several quizzes on the last day of class). if youre looking for an easy A, take Dr. Welford.

Dr. Welford is great. I loved her class. We would spend most classes going over each other's manuscripts. No test, your test grades come from your manuscripts. She is extremely flexible about due dates. You do have to do a lot of writing, but it's not tough assignments. If you don't like writing, this would probably be a tough class.

She did not provide any real writing instruction; on days we didn't have book quizzes, she looked up youtube videos to pass class time. Once she gave us a crash course on Galileo, but that was the extent of her "teaching". Even though she gives a bonus for attendance, it isn't worth it to go. I am determined NOT to get her for 1101. Avoid her!

Very fun teacher! She lets you out early, make up quizzes, & doesnt make you use the standard writing format. 3 essays total and gives you about 3 weeks to do them. You read a few books and take quizzes on them but very self explanatory if you read. We got off subject alot, but class was a breeze and never a dull moment! Take her!!

Literally the best teacher I have had here at Southern. Not your typical english teacher. She pushes you to write outside the box and she doesn't care about writing formats. We watched the swedish girl with a dragon tattoo for our final. LOVE HER

Dr. Welford is one of my favorite teachers at GSU! She is extremely easy and very helpful. If you don't mind writing this is an easy A. There are no quizzes and the final is a portfolio. She gets extremely side tracked at times but she is a great, fun teacher.
