I hated Tav for Dynamics, but would highly recommend him for Crash. He loves the subject and teaches it well. You work with a partner on the homework BUT make sure you do it before the soft due date, it will save your hide. He respects hard workers and will definitely help you out if you show that you're paying attention and taking notes.

If you don't enjoy teaching yourself the material, don't take Tavakoli. He really wants you to understand the material, but he wants you to learn it before you come to class. Test are out of the book and he's a very generous grader.

INEN-201 is the third level of the i2e program (eship). This class was a case study on the book, The Disciplined Entrepreneur. If you schedule allows, you should definitely pick up the i2e minor. Just because you're an engineer, doesn't mean you can't be an entrepreneur. Engineers are innovators, which makes you an entrepreneur. Its an easy A too.

Don't be afraid of the name, his english is better than most students. Easily one of the best profs I've had here. Basically holds your hand through every problem and not only shows you the "how," but more importantly the "why." KNOW YOUR FBD's!!!!!

If you can do trig and algebra, you will ace this class. Wrong answers but correct methods on the exams give you great grades. This guy does the best job, of any professor, of making sure you don't just do it right, but you really get it.

This dude grades pretty easy and you use the book on exams. His only downfall is that if you don't understand the homeworks, he refuses to do examples in class so you must go to his office. If you go to his office he is extremely helpful.

I was a little worried when I heard his name, but he speaks perfectly clear. The homework is collected, but you can work in groups and he writes the test from the homework. Three tests and final drops the lowest of the four, (he did in our class). He doesn't take attendance but you should go, he keeps it short: homework review then new concepts.

Easy class, still learned a ton. Very helpful and fun to listen to. Tests are super easy. Collects homework, 1 or 2 problems a week. Final was optional, replaced our lowest of 4 test grades.

Very good professor that is always willing to help. Do the minimal homework and the tests should be a breeze. If you do good on the tests you can drop the final. Class is an easy A, but you still learn a lot.

Very good at explaining subject. Makes applications extremely clear. Only gripe is that final project is assigned at very end of semester when everything is crazy..

very down to earth prof and easy going guy. knows his stuff, teaches the course well. some material is difficult, but he does what he can to help you. basically, the class is really cool and a nice change of pace from all our regular stuff, and tavakoli would be my first choice for any mech class (i never had him prior to 551 though).

Likes to show off his mastery of the material (hey I would too). He's eager to understand why concepts don't "click" with students. Tests weem largely unlike the practice problems. Dynamics is a tough subject to be taught, and it requires the student to invest the time to learn it properly.

Wants you to learn topics ahead of time and then spent the whole class period going over the homework problems. He was not very helpful when I went to his office. Exams and final weren't bad, think he curves at the end of the course.

Great teacher. If you are struggling, ask for HELP! He will not move forward unless the class understands the concept. If you go to class everyday, high 90's are no problem to get. By far he is the best prof I've had at Kettering. I would Highly recommend taking him for either of these two classes!

Notes given to you with missing pieces that are filled in during class. Too many useless speakers that were impossible to listen to. Project was pretty lame. Doesn't really tell you what's on the midterm or final, but gives you a chance to improve your midterm grade. Homework not worth the time usually. Great guy though. Interesting class.
