Theatre Workshop was fun. We developed a short play written by the class and we took on different positions. The workload is heavy at times when writing the show but the other assignments aren't bad and you can rehearse in class. We love Matt!

Directing is the "Big Kids Table" of theatre classes as Matt calls it- you have several smaller assignments that culminate in an enormous project: A scene that you are responsible for castingstaging along with a prompt book researching your play. One of my most rewarding college classes but I had to work for it, don't be afraid to do a hard scene

Very nice and friendly, really knows what he's talking about and has great stories. Not a lot of work until the end of the semester, doesn't really provide written feedback. Good and fun class to take him for

Egocentric guy, talks a lot about irrelevant things, but overall a fun class. Participation is a big part of grade. Many acting projects during the semester. Would take this class again.

I loved the class! He is really good at coaching you and picks good scenes to perform. Must be dedicated as you can fail a scene if you miss a performance or too many classes.

Okay guy, not a good professor. He plays favorites and is really not flexible at all if you have to miss a performance for the class. Drama wasn't my thing before taking this class, and it definitely still isn't.

Ridiculous. Cancels classes and lets you out early a lot, but at what cost? Let us go early the day before a test without covering material ON the test... just decided not to teach class that day, I guess. Doesn't know names four months into the semester. Moral? You're paying $500 a credit to come here. Take a prof. who's worth the money.

Yes he is a funny guy and makes class entertaining, however it takes him forever to hand back assignments to the point where half the semester has gone by and you don't know how you are doing. If you like being arbitrarily graded by just a bit then go for it

Took west lit with him over the 10 day break. Consdering it was 15 weeks of work in a ten day period, it really wasn't bad at all. Read 4 plays, took 2 quizzes, 4 papers and one final. Gave us plenty of extra time to read and do the work.

Really cares about his students and motivates them to work their hardest to find enjoyment in the topic. Good work goes well rewarded, and his instruction has helped me to become a better performer and director onstage. You can do nothing but benefit from his classes. Extremely helpful and equally attentive to all of his students.
