Sometimes is hard to understand, but he always goes back and tries to explain it another way. He will NOT advance a class if they do not understand something, he will teach it until it is learned. He is approachable and very helpful.

Matt is an amazing pianist. He really tries to help you in your lessons and is encouraging. However, I found him very difficult to understand at times when he taught theory. His strength is instrumental playing/teaching, not classroom theory.

Matt is amazing. I don't why he's here, he's a world class pianist... But it's so cool to be able to take classes from him and be in an ensemble under his direction, he makes allowances for anything and everything different.
