Mr. Dunckel was a great professor! Very easy to get along with and very understanding. Can use one page of notes on tests and drop the lowest test score. Great teacher, fun lectures, and an easy A if you just come to class!

He's a nice guy. His lectures often get sidetracked and way too far down the rabbit hole to understand. He expects you to already know the subject. When a majority of the class doesn't understand, he gets defensive. He wants you to spend a lot of time on his class but doesn't utilize the time he is given to actually do a decent job of teaching.

Mr. Dunckel is a great person but his teaching skills are a little off in my opinion. He is very organized and professional but when lecturing he can be a little confusing. He can get off topic very easily. His tests are very easy and simple if you make the one page cheat sheet that he allows. Make sure if you do use it write down all of the terms.

Mr. Dunkel is a solid teacher (if you attend class). His tests tend to be confusing if you do not finish the reading. However, you should save the packets he gives you. And definitely take advantage of his one-page sheet for tests. If you participate in class, you will excel on the tests!

The Dunk is one of my favorite instructors I have had (U of M grad aside). He is funny, smart, and laid back. If you show up to class and do the work you will do fine. He has lots of cool stories and he is really smart about everything. Outside of class he is just as cool. The Dunk is awesome. Wonder if that nickname caught on?

He's a very funny guy, but his teaching skills are lacking in the sense that he really doesn't teach so much. He lectures and it's very hard to take notes because he rambles more than anything. He moves very fast too, and you can easily get behind in the homework assignemnts.

Comment:
His lectures were long and boring. I learned very little. He showed more movies of "Eugene Webber" teaching than he actually taught himself. He also has a monopoly on western civilization, you cant have a different teacher...which sucks. Good luck if you get him.

Matt's a great professor. Tests are very challenging and lots of homework. Expect an assignment the first day of class and every week. Covers a chapter in a week so you must read your chapters to stay caught up. Exams read the book. Go over your notes and hand outs. The multiple choices are a killer but learn your Identifiers. Married, cute & nerdy

Dunkel was great. he can go off on a tangent though. He'll start to go on about things unrelated to the subject matter. Sometimes amusing, sometimes frustrating. he's a sailor and a super nice guy. he's also in my dads old yearbooks if you want to see.

I had cultural geography with him, and while it was an easy A, he was still a boring teacher, and I fell asleep almost every day. Do the daily work, and show up, and you should get an A.

You really just have to pay attention. He can be funny at times, and tough if you don't listen. Multiple choice can be a killer - look over the chapter before the test. Overall, not too harsh when it comes to grading. Do the assignment - get credit.
