AWFUL! DO NOT TAKE! He is an awful professor and needs to retire. His lectures are very confusing, its very hard to understand him and none of the material is on the test! Tests are hard and grading is confusing. Homework assignments from a $250 textbook that should be easy As, end up being Bs and Cs. I do not ever recommend this professor.

This class was awful I took Mr. Htay for ITec 100 and it was terrible. His Syllabus and due dates are not clear. He doesn't teach any of the material on his tests. He doesn't answer questions that you send email. I will say in all caps DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS you will regret it!

He goes through lectures very quickly which is all fun and games until you don't know anything on the exam. He doesn't answer questions very helpfully. Have to teach yourself all of the curriculum.

His lectures can be a little confusing and the syllabus isn't very clear. Yes, he's nice but isn't very accessible. If you email, sometimes you're lucky to get a response but generally isn't helpful if you ask questions. Good luck figuring out what book to get.

Sometimes has a hard time speaking clear English. This class is super easy though. Literally show up and you'll pass. He gives random quizes in class that could be as easy as writing your name down and turning it in. Tests are VERY LONG but he takes all the questions from online study guides WORD FOR WORD. Just study those and you'll pass easily.

He was very ill this semester and out a lot so lots of subs. But when he was in class, hard to understand, goes on tangents, just a bad overall class. He is a great person and he does know what he's talking about just not a great teacher. And I was one that went to class, stayed in class while everybody else walked out, and I paid attention.

Nice professor, tests are all from his quiz. If you do well on quiz you should be able to pass this class with 'A'. Becareful with the final, it will be little difficult. Just pay more attention to binary. It will be on final.

Nice professor down to earth when it comes down to helping student. I have taken other ITEC prof and no one even comes close to him in easiness and helpfulness. No need of books, just go over his practice quiz and You will get A. If you can't follow practice quiz just like the other haters out here then you will definitely end up with D or fail.

awesome guy, bad teacher, i'm in an intro class and he teaches as if you already know the stuff. Dont buy the textbooks. The only way to pass this class is the practice quizes, I learned more from them then I did from him.

Very nice prof has Accent but easy to understand if you pay attention to the class. All those comments are from those who are busy in surfing net while he is teaching. Test are way to easy all from the quiz he does it in class. No need of book, all from powerpoint that he provides. I will extremely recommend him if you looking for A.

The tests are quiz questions. Do the practice quizzes and you will pass the class easily. Dont get the books because most of the questions come off his powerpoints. Unless you're a CS/IS major I wouldn't recommend this class and if you are good luck! :)

Professor is completely incompetent. Class is insufferable and he seems to be under the delusion that is acceptable to have an attendance policy and SEATING CHART for a 150 person class. Never take this class unless you enjoy water boarding.

Not very clear at all. His tests and quizzes do not reflect the material covered in class at all. Strongly recommend making your book your best friend. Very nice guy just to many factors make his class difficult in other ways than work.

The problem with this professor is that all of his practice questions which you can do over and over on his website, are the actual test questions. Thus I've noticed several people during the final exams with the answers right in front of them. His teaching style is confusing if you try to pay attention to him. Just bring a laptop and you're good.

Professor cares but isn't very clear about what he is saying. He tends to repeat himself a lot for no reason and tends to test on things not covered in class. If you want to pass his class i suggest reading out of the book as much as possible.

Dr Htay is a great guy but is very hard to understand. He likes to try to keep his class engaged by yelling at them to repeat after him. Bring a laptop or your will lose your mind!
