Maureen is a wonderful lady like grandma but surprise! she is a tough marker. I think the department has come down on her because she only gave out a few A-s, 2 A's and the rest were in the B range or below.

Comment:

This is one of the greatest profs in the poli-sci dept. She is fun and very informed and interested in her field, comp. federalism. First and Second year students may not like her,but for those serious about poli-sci she is absolutely wonderful,and a very fair marker. However, she requires a lot of writing. I hope she teaches for years to come.

She is one of my favorite profs. She is a sweet old lady who is interested the course material. She gives exam questions out ahead of time, and encourages group activities. A bit boring, but she is a good prof, plus she has lots of interesting stories to tell.

Covell reminds of me of my grandma, except that she is an amazing teacher. She throws little things into her lectures (like the Corruption Continuum) which make them interesting and fun. She's at the other end of the scale from boring. I loved this class.

she is awesome, very smart, and very nice.Her class was so much fun b/c she gives a lecture for an hour or so, and just when your about to get tired to take notes, she lets your participate in some form of activity. My class with her was so much fun, yes FUN, it helped we also had a fun bunch of people, but it was her style that let us participate.

Extremely boring lecturer! Has trouble using the teaching technology (i.e. overhead projectors, microphone). Very hard to follow her in lecture. She gives examples and then moves on to the next topic, but you'll think she's still talking about example.

Lacks voice projection in lecture, hard to take notes. Hostile and unapproachable professor. Provides midterm and final exam questions in advance, but does not lecture on them, so they don't help. Goes through the motions of teaching.Low energy lady.
