YOU HAVE TO ATTEND EVERY WEEK! That is the one key rule. Simon is a good professor he just is extremely unorganized. He also cannot seem to muster up the ability to create a syllabus, it's always "I'll have it next week." But that never comes. Other than that it is a great class, worth taking, just be prepared to write... a lot!

Don't even take the class unless your a POLS major. Simon is boring and rude. He has a way of trying to make everyone feel stupid. He is anal about being on time. He is hopeless when it comes to making things clear. I hated everything about his class and I don't recommend him to anyone!

Great teacher. He has his bad days but he is a great guy. If you are confused about anything he will help you get caught up. The most important thing I or anyone that has taken his class can tell you is DO NOT BE LATE, but more importantly DO NOT BE THE FIRST ONE TO WALK IN LATE, let someone else take the first hit, its not as hard on you

treats class like children. not very interesting. bring 3 blue books to fill during test so he can't claim you missed anything. don't be late but laugh at those who are late. not too hard although he is sometimes all over the place.

He changed the course as he went along. The sylabus wasn't worth the paper it was written on. He makes the class sound difficult, however he was VERY generous in grading the 3 essay tests, and our paper, which was nothing more then a test re-write. Just don't show up to class late!

Dr. Simon is a great guy. You get the feeling he really cares about the students and how they are learning the material. All the stuff about favotism is BS. However, don't get there late. Attend regularly and you will be fine.

I didn't like him at first. It's funny to watch people come in late, but he is not as bad as everyone else makes him out to be. If you take good notes and at least review the selected readings you'll do fine. Demonstrate some original thinking and youll be on his good side. Sleep in class-bad side!

I figured him out before the class began. Toss him a football or baseball and he is cool the whole whole semester. If the class is on track, he lets fly with a lot of good lectures. If the students are lazy, you are in for a hard time.
