Comment:

Great professor, lectures are denser than lead. Expect a lot of notes, and the only way to organize them is chronologically. Tests are fine if you study everything (including old tests). Extremely helpful, almost always in his office, and he wants you to pass!

I did not like Papa's teaching style. In my opinion, he was incredibly confusing. Also, when you ask questions it's very hard for him to understand what's being asked. Questions always had to be asked multiple times and then still weren't always answered. I wouldn't recommend this class.

Really nice guy that gives out quite a few deadline extensions, but everything else is pretty bad. Rehashes the book for lecture. The sample problems are very easy compared to what you would see on a test. Tests are regurgitation of paragraphs from the notes. Finally, the projects are very hard; my advice is to get as much help as you can.

Lecture comes straight from book, word for word. To study for exams, you must memorize everything in the notes. Does only ONE easy sample problem. Problem comes back on exams in MUCH MUCH harder form. Not a bad professor at all, just very hard.

This class can be boring and difficult at times but Dr. Papa is a nice guy. He can tell if you don't even try. If you work at it, he will help you out. Try to keep your grades up on your tests and projects and you may get out of the final exam.

This guy is horrible. Lectures are bullets read verbatim from the book. Little effort put out on his part. Extremely boring. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid this guy in the CS department.

Nachos is tough, but if you go to class he will give you the code to thehardest parts of it. Study your notes religiously and you will do just fine. No surprises on tests and and material is presented in straight forward manner.

Notes were indeed straight out of the book, however he answered any question in class and any questions on projects. The mannerisms and whatnot are also fun and make the dry material more bearable :)

Makes no effort to liven up the material and reads straight from notes. Doesn't understand the OS projects he assigns. His thick accent and sloppy handwriting are incredibly difficult to understand, but the Papa Watch Check and the Papa Coffee Chug rock.
