Cool guy, I personally liked his lectures but a lot of people didn't, probably one of the most knowledgeable profs at York, he would ramble and go off topic quite a bit, but the guy knows everything about everything, our lectures would go from metaphysics, to psychology to poetry lol

Buccheri is a person that has this special quality in teaching that when he speaks is that of passion. Passion for the youth, passion for education, passion in helping us reflect on our lives. What I always wanted in a professor is that of Buccheri. He really is a great professor in teaching and also a great person that truly cares for his students

Whatever you do. Do not rely on this guy for a reference for post graduate or anything. He will offer to write you a reference letter. Smile when you ask him. Then when you follow up he looks like he was going to have a nervous breakdown on me saying he didn't have time to do it despite five months notice. Delayed graduate studies for a year.

wow. profs like these give york its bad name. no wonder other universities don't take york or its students seriously - I can't even take my own professor seriously when it's someone like buccheri. waste of time. he clearly just wanted to be a professor but doesn't have the intelligence like most do - yet, somehow slipped through. students suffer!

Here is the gist of Buccieris class: you will be informed that he chased a girl in italy when he was younger only to have his heart broken, wishes he were like che guavera (motorcycle diaries),and has a very existentialist approach to life. Does not help students out at all unless you are one of his favorites. No assignments are due until the week before the final exam. You have no idea how you are doing and he can't remember names except for a handful of people, so participation mark? I would not inflict this class on my worst enemy

Buccheri is a nice guy but don't suggest taking his course if you want to learn anything. Considering it is a italian/english course i have learned about ants, bees, evolution, his family and the wait for ice cream at La Paloma. Not what i thought the course was going to be. :( Very disappointed.
