Ive taken Maynards required courses for my undergrad in social work and he is brilliant. I could listen to his hilarious lectures for the rest of my life. His socialist views cause students to look at their personal bias from a different perspective and I visit his office to talk about real life stuff. Hes truly legendary. Im sad to graduate!

Attendance is not mandatory but you will definitely want to be there because he adds your attendance onto your test grade and the 3 tests you have to take are DIFFICULT. You will want/need those attendance points. Maynard is hilariously sarcastic and puts a fun spin on sociology even though he reads from the textbook.

Maynard is a once in a lifetime professor. If you go to Cedar Crest, its a must to take one of his classes. His tests are extremely hard, but they are curved. Open your mind to every discussion, don't be one-sided in his class. Show your character in your papers and he will love you. He's a professor you can go to just about life. Love him!

Maynard is a great, funny, and down to earth guy. Pay attention in class and get very familiar with the textbook and you'll be fine. Go to class (it helps your grade) I wish I could take him again.

Maynard is pretty easy. The FYS 60s class has a 400 word essay each week and you have to do one small project. He shows a lot of videos and talks about his past life but it's rather funny. Come to class, do your essays, and you pass!

I truely love Maynard. I went to Cedar Crest just for him. He's sweet, smart, and funny ( in his own repetitive way). He is totally stuck in the 60s --it's great. I would go to school everyday to listen to him 3 best teacher ever.

Funny guy, great philosophical conversation, fair grader. If you show up and read the assigned work you're guaranteed a good grade. Plays favorites but unless you're a kiss-ass who needs everyone's adoration that shouldn't matter. You can definitely get an A without being the class pet. Totally cool dude with wild stories.

Maynard is amazing! He is everything that is the best part of humanity all wrapped into one great person. If you read the book you'll be fine for the class. The tests are *very* hard but Maynard quite literally tells you what is going to be on the test. He'll give you the page numbers and the paragraph. If you fail the test, it's your fault.

I thought this class would be super easy since it's a 100 level..NOT. The tests are beyond hard! I tried every method to study and I got a 67 on each test (it could be because he uses the tests the text book gives). I suggest hilighting what he says in the book..it helps a LITTLE for the test. Overall, Maynard is a great guy & super funny!!
