I really enjoyed McKenzie's class. Although I took it through Distance Education, I met with him several times, and he's a really nice guy. The tests require you to know essentially everything in the course pack (although that's not much). The final exam is really easy also; it has the same questions as the sample one in the course pack. Easy A

This was a very interesting class as far as the material went, and Dr.M was a very interesting nice man, but as far as sitting through his class be prepared to spend long amounts of time on semingly trivial pages in the course book... exams follow the same format and material as the practice exams at the end of each section, use those !!!

Comment:

Dr. McKenzie is one of the most down to earth professors I have every met. He is not high minded. He is very funny, helpful and thorough. He really enjoys teaching and although science is my worst subject, he makes it more tolerable. If I could get him for every science class I have to take in the future, I would consider myself - BLESSED!

he's a really good teacher and knows his stuff. as long as you read the coursepack and atleast look over it before the test you'll be fine. he's pretty straightforward. classes can be boring or interesting depending on the topic(but i guess that applies to any class)

Dr. McKenzie was one of my favorite teachers at NCSU. I loved this class, I loved his passion for Genetics and I felt his course and tests were very well rounded. Ultimately, I became one of the TAs fro this class Dr. McKenzie left such a great impression on me. Great Class, Greater Teacher

On top of everything, I can say that Dr. McKenzie has a passion for what he does! I haven't taken one of his tests yet, but I suspect that as long as I study the material, there will be no nasty surprises.

He is a great prof!!! if you need any help he will help you, he returns your phone calls and emails in a timely manner, great class, very slack you don't have to go unless you want extra credit; study the old tests :)

Dr. McKenzie spent WAY too long talking about his family and other person business. The Coursepak was good and while the tests were long, all you needed to do was read the notes given to you. The lectures were pretty boring though...
