Had to take her class since it was a mandatory course. Well, she might be knowledgeable as a researcher, but the worst teacher I have ever met. She was not well prepared to teach the course. No clear guidelines, no specific instructions on essays..

Leaves students to figure out assignments and tasks, provides poor feedback when asked to clarify... yet has the audacity to make comments about student's own clarity. Feedback is inadequate, arbitrary, does not follow a rubric making seemingly grades based on her whims of the day. Seriously needs to work on teaching skills and professional dev.

Comment:

I really enjoyed being in Mehru's class because she is one of the few profs for the ISS program who knows her material. She is also very nice and easy to talk to. She also went to Harvard and knows a lot about ECE, research methods, and much more. Her feedback is also helpful...but the topics we learn can sometimes be boring.

She seems to know what she's talking and the course is pretty well organized, but she can be confusing when trying to help you individually. She showed up late to an appointment once and had the audacity to check her watch halfway through our meeting! Thinks she clear when she's not.
