She was an excellent teacher I don't even like math but she made me like it and I passed the class, she is very he;pful the only thing that was a little irritating was the amount of notes I had at least 2 notebooks filled.But, in the long run it help.

Comment:

Math is, and has always been my weakest subject. Having Prof. Ackerman made this "refresher" course much easier for me and the rest of the class. However, I did not like the fact that attendance was mandatory and that she made a point to learn everyone's names. Very reminiscent of a high school teacher.

This teacher should not be teaching anymore, the class has to fix her mistakes every 5 minutes and she always wants us to check her "arithmetic" because she messes up so much. If it isn't done her way it's wrong.

I cannot say enough good things about Professor Ackerman! I had to retake Math 0050 and passed it! She's very attentive and lectures very well. She also allowed the use of a calculator on exams in this class, which is a plus.

She yelled at my for talking in class(i never talked) she told me me and this girl laughed to much.. we never even laughed during her lectures. kinda crazy old lady. I am having a half/half time on her teaching, i either get it or dont get it. LOTS of notes, i went through 3 notebooks so far. i use to LOVE math, not now.

Clear, very organized GREAT teacher. Very concerned with students "getting it" before she moves on. VERY FAIR. She will prepare you VERY WELL for the FINAL exam guaranteed, (plus for every test if you pay attention and do the homework) Many quia/test problems are directly from the homework or the notes you take. Surely a Good grade if you try!

hella good prof., she dumbs it down for you and she's a good teacher as long as you're not a jerk or rude to her. she's nutty and her southern accent is kinda funny. she doesn't give up on you either, and she wants to push you to succeed in math because it suuucks. she's great if you're bad in math.
