I had lost faith in Boston University's art history program, until I took a class with Professor Hall. She is by the best professor that I have ever had. She is engaging, refreshingly witty (very British!)- a beacon of knowledge! The readings are a pleasure. The field trips are divine. She's truly passionate, and inspiring!

She made this class very easy to understand and enjoy. The workload was small and she was passionate about any subject presented during office hours. And her lovely English accent and British anecdotes kept me awake and looking forward to each lecture.

Great professor. Assigns reading, but it is not really necessary to the class. Makes lecture interesting even in the morning, though participation is key. Helped teach a math-science person how to analyze art. Good class if you're new to art history.

I thought Hall was a WONDERFUL professor. She did seem to get on the nerves of some students, but she was wonderful to me, helped me out greatly and made me love architecture. If she is teaching an architectual writing class, go for it! She's a joy.

She is extremely vague about the essay questions, and contradicts herself in the syllabus and assignment sheets about what she wants you to do. Explains the day you hand your assignment in what you should have included...not helpful!! Rambles.
