Wow I absolutely love this professor. He has an incredible sense of the subjects that he teaches and he made our 3 hour class extremely interesting. He never used a PowerPoint, in fact I don't think he used his computer more than once. He tells historical stories like he was there. INCREDIBLE

Wow. This professor is INCREDIBLE. He made the time period 1500-1750 so interesting. He never used a power point once, just beautifully articulated stories from the time period like he was there. If you want to learn like you have never learned before in your life, take him.

This class was a disappointment. Yes it was easy but it was boring! He just stood up front and rambled the entire time. We only made it to WWII and we were suppose to go to present day. If he structured it more it could be a great class, he knows tons about European history, he just isn't the most exciting lecturer.

This professor is amazing. He is so knowledgeable about the subject. I loved the way he lectured the material. I usually would have to memorize stuff for a class like this, however, I didnt have to for this class. I remembered everything he lectures so vividly because he tells the story like no other. Also,He was nice and was very funny.

Very intelligent and engaging teacher. His passion for the subject comes across in his lectures. Only complaint is that there were to many movies (I would have enjoyed listening to more of his lectures). You don't have to cheat to pass this class, just show up, pay attention and take good notes.

I would not recomend taking this class. His class is boring and makes you not want to go to class. Attendence is not mandatory but then you won't know whats going on in class. There's only two tests all year but there essay questions. There are plenty of other GE classes out there to take so its better to just do another class.

He's the BEST teacher you can get. He's a famous Austrian writer, knows what he's talking about and interesting to listen to. There are only 2 essays and that's IT. i really enjoyed this teacher. he is so smart and passionate about what he teaches, it makes things a lot more ineteresting for what i thought was aboring subject before i took the class. he makes things more of a story than curriculum. for your grade, all you have is a midterm and a final. he gives you everything you need to know for both.

My first impression of him is"ECCENTRIC"...Especially his outfit..He has a thick Austrian accent, but it's pretty easy to get used to. I think he really loves his field, and he has strong opinions about a lot of things, especially on how he views the human race. So, he's someone that you can respect and look up to.

Best and easiest professor at state, hands down. Tests are essay only. This class is seriously very interesting and fun at the same time because you dont have to worry about whats going to be on the test, because he gives you the essay questions so you know exactly what to write about. Theres no reason to not get an A or B. Take Skwara!

If you don't mind cheating, take this class; you can write your whole essay into your bluebook before the 2 exams: he's oblivious. If, like me, you don't cheat, you will get very frustrated seeing people you know smirk as they leave halfway through the period while you're still trying to construct your essays. overall, it was an interesting class.
