Lectures were useless. She didn't really teach, just reiterated word-for-word from the textbook. Nice person, but can be discouraging. "If you don't understand this, this course isn't for you." Does not motivate students to beat obstacles. Tip: Pearson has textbook PQs online - do the ones that match up to the quiz questions before you do the quiz.

She will tell you over and over, "All you have to do is practice the questions I do in class because those are the only concepts I test you on". And she is not lying! Literally all I did for the midterm was practice those Qs and got 90%. She also bellcurves final grades. And lyryx is an easy 20%.

Great professor. Actually takes the time to teach harder chapters unlike other profs. Got an 87 on the midterm and easy 95 on lyryx. If you dont do lyryx like she tells you to and fail the course its your own fault, its worth 20%. Gives clear exam breakdown by chapter on what to expect for both exams. Great prof would take again.

She doesn't teach much at all... just basic things that are not in the tests. When solving questions she copies the solutions (which is already available to you) onto the board during her lectures. Feels like a waste of time with her.

One of the most amazing proffs at ryerson hands down. She doesn't make it easy but never leaves you hanging. Perfect balance needed to facilitate the right kind of challenge.

She is very old school and writes everything on the board which I don't mind but others might. She doesn't post much online. She explains everything very thoroughly and with good understanding. Gives good real life examples. Her tests are very easy and straight forward if you come to class or read the book. Overall enjoyed her class.

Her assignments are super simple and the answers can be found right out of the textbook, and can get a high grade without working too hard. When it comes to her exams, they are nowhere close to well worded or fair. Because you have to pass the exam to pass the course doesn't respond to emails in a timely manor nor does she post final grade quickly

Took this course online. This profs assignment are super easy, but come exam time is when it gets chaotic, she is unclear on what chapters you need to know. I emailed her to find out what chapters the exam will cover, her response was everything. When i went to the exam it was 60 mc questions based off like the last 5 chapters. AVOID.

Comment:

Prof Anselm is very generous in her marking for the two assignments. Assignments are very easy and answers can be derived straight from text. Does not respond quickly/at all to emails but class is extremely easy if you read the text and take good noted. Make sure you get her to clarify chapters to be tested on because modules are not accurate.

If you are a ECN student her class won't be so bad and you will probably find it easy. If you are not in this field don't bother taking the course with her, avoid her as she is not good for when you are learning and have no previous background in this course/field.

Prof Anselm's assignments are very straight forward and are easy to ace. Work very hard on the two assignments so you go into the final with a high grade. Taking the class online can get tricky as prof Anselm does not respond quickly or efficiently to emails but the course itself is quite easy.
