Comment:
Sarah is great; super chill prof. Lectures were more like class discussions which was interesting. She is definitely a little bit scatter-brained, but not to the point where she is difficult to follow. Class content can also be hilarious at times, and Sarah is great at remaining unbiased per her views on sexuality.

Sarah is hands-down the most chill prof I've ever had! She's extremely funny, interesting and very relatable. If you're sensitive to vulgar language and profanity, this isn't the class for you. But if you don't mind, it's pretty awesome! She can be hard to follow sometimes, slightly scatter-brained. But readings are interesting and she tries!

Comment:
The class as the world to offer in being an interesting class but Prof. Hoffman does little to clarify what the readings offer. Going to class rarely provides additional info. She seems to ramble on all class without helping provide various understandings of the content. Waste of a class. Take psych sexuality instead.

Comment:
Professor Hoffman spends most time in class discussing her own limited personal beliefs and feelings on the papers assigned, instead of helping students form and express their own opinions. Her grading system is very unhelpful, and impersonal. This could have been a very interesting class if taught by a less biased prof.

Professor Hoffman is fantastic. She really enjoys the subject material, and she is an easygoing, open-minded person, which is necessary for this sort of class. The articles were well-chosen and well-explained. She is one of the best professors in the department, and I liked her class a lot.

This was my first philosophy class and I enjoyed it. Sarah does a good job of explaining philosophy for us non-philosophers. Also, no textbook- just journal articles. Do read them, as there are random pop quizzes. Gives exam questions in advance and marks fairly. It's easy to get a good mark just by reading the articles and attending class.

Not what I expected. Didn't mark as easy as I thought. Studied lots, still got destroyed on the midterm and paper. Slow marker. Sometimes mumbles in class. Somewhat helpful. Wouldn't take another class from her.

Awesome professor. Really interesting class with great subject matter, not afraid to make jokes at her own expense and make the class more at ease. Wish we'd had more wiggle room to focus on topics that interested the class, rather than rushing through some of the articles, but overall a great class and highly recommended!

Very good professor, she knows what she's talking about. As a very unlogical person, I found her explanations of logic to be quite helpful, and she went through examples at a reasonable rate, which I found just awesome for logic.

Good professor. Very receptive to questions, almost always knows what she's talking about and admits when she doesn't. Human. Speaks monotone most of the time, but that's just the way she is. Highly recommended.

She was good. Classes were a bit dry, but such is logic. I can't imagine what philosophy of sexuality would be like with her.
