Exams were sometimes tough, but he explained the materials pretty clearly so that everyone could understand what was going on in class.

Mike likes to make fun of his students and he favors the ones who are ineptly good at physics. If ppl are confused about something he will repeat what he said and if theyre still confused he just says "i dont understand why you dont understand." If you are not very gifted in math/physics, take it somewhere else!

Very challenging. Mike has a tendancy to make fun of his students because he's uncomfortable showing that he really cares. Just mock him back. Books on reserve are extremely useful for Mike's classes. If he says he's not going over something any more, it will be on the exam.

Comment:
While Mike is a great guy, his lectures tend to be fairly confusing, and if you miss one step of the math it's very easy to quickly get completely disoriented. He'll also sometimes make fun of students if they need help in class, but one-on-one he can be very helpful. It doesn't help that the textbook is fairly confusing.

Comment:
The textbook proved most useful in learning concepts and problem-solving strategies; Mike's lectures left me blank and more or less clueless. If you stop him and ask about something, he generally does a decent job of explaining, but his exams are too vague and the problems tend to be on the tough side. Nice guy, though.

Comment:
Great guy but has some flaws in his teaching. Asking for help usually only yields in a repeat of what was already said rather than more clarification. Classes are fairly challenging but tests are limited and don't cover enough of the material.
