Nothing bad to say about him. Go to class, work hard and you will succeed and enjoy it. Not for the faint of heart. If you can't take a little mockery don't take him. This teacher is the main reason I am majoring in accounting. Truly wants you to succeed, but if you don't work hard and give back he will not care.

I look forward to going to class on Mondays and Wednesdays. Mr. Brown is hilarious and he knows how to teach the material to the average student. He can be a jerk but people just dont realize that he it is his way of teaching. Lets just say this I dont fall asleep in Mr. Brown's class because I dont want to miss anything.

He is a good teacher but a bad person. He teaches you everything you need to know and he makes you do your homework in class, he stands over you & watches what you do but doesn't help you on the test if you ask him for work to do outside of class, he'll mock you in front of the class. He's and ok teacher, but I wouldn't recommend him...

Horrible teacher. Im actually suprised he is still employed by UMSL. Brown feels the need to put people on the spot, make you look dumb, and become very rude just because it makes himself feel better. I would never pay for another class taught by him.

They guy is soo funny! He can be very mean at times, but you just need to study, take notes in class and do homework. The tests are the same as in the homework, so as long as you know the exercises from the homework you'll get an easy A.

He's... different. Sometimes hes funny, sometimes he tries too hard to be 'tough' and comes across as a jerk. Overall, if you go to class, take notes, and do the work you'll be fine. He's not a teacher who will make you feel smart, even if you score an A like me. I still got picked on and corrected when he went off on his power trips but I survived

Great Teacher. I never had accounting and I am learning a lot. I like his sense of humor, but I can see how some may not, especially if they don't study. He is very up front about what is expected. I love how he makes fun of the "Muffy and Buffy" undergrads who are in his other classes on Mommy and Daddy's dime.

FYI I got a "B" in the class. Brown is retired and teaches at a parttime basis. Brown is condescending to students. He's been teaching ACC too long and no longer cares. To prove this, his tests are from 2003. Brown WILL NOT return emails, voicemails, or be avail after class. IT IS A SHAME FOR UMSL TO KEEP HIM ON STAFF AS A PROF.

GO TO Class is all I can suggest. The material isn't hard, but if you aren't there to see it and understand, its hard to get. Mr. Brown has a VERY dry sense of humor,(which i think is hilarious), but some people might not like. Great Teacher...Knows what he is talking about

Mike has been a great professor. don't miss class! He remembers! don't skip and get caught either, it's his favorite thing to catch people doing. "Freeze" right "dr.brown"? lol, this is an easy class if you show up. most classes don't last the entire time. don't let his "over-zealous" attitude get to you. he's fantastic. Thanks mike, Jared B.

Awesome teacher. Just go to class and pay attention. If you mess around in his class he'll call you out, and won't let you off the hook until your prove yourself. So just make sure you stay on his good side. I think he explains everything well. For tests just go over the in class homework problems really well and you'll do fine.

Great teacher, sometimes gets off topic. Does a great job at taking the book and cutting it down into about 40 slides. Learn the notes and you will do well, his tests are straight foward. Make sure that you make it to all of his classes! I learned more in his class than I have in any other.

Professor Brown is a my way or the highway teacher. He does not teach from the book and is willing to belittle you for having difficulties. Be prepared to be considered nothing and do things exactly the way he does them and you will do fine. Asking for help seems impossible if you don't want to look like an idiot and be pointed out as one.

Brown doesn't tolerate idiots in class, simple as that. If you understand the material (which you should being in business admin), you'll be fine. Class is an easy A, he is the BEST accounting professor I have had to date (I'm an accounting major, they get worse from basic). He worked for the IRS, so he does have a right to be full of himself...
