Really enjoyed this class. Very thoroughly explained the physics behind the BJT and MOSFET without making the math ridiculous. Clear and concise explanations. A very good overview of semiconductor physics. If you go to class and participate, this class is very fair and doable.

Dr. Capano is a great professor. His lectures and test are very structured. I actually took his course twice after failing the on the first attempt from not knowing what I was doing and not seeking the proper help. However, I did not hesitate to sign up for Dr. Capano's course on the second attempt at ECE201.

Probably the best ECE 201 Prof out there! Knows exactly what he's talking about. Repeats important stuff over and over until he has drilled them into your minds. His lecture slides are well-structured and very helpful. Understand those well, and you can pass the course with an A, I assure you.

I had taken ECE 201 the second time with Capano, and he made it an absolute breeze as compared to Elliot (though no fault of Elliot's, I just never paid attention). Capano has a great ability of keeping the class entertained while sticking to subject matter. Sometimes, he does deviate and takes longer than expected on stories, excellent prof.

Very bad. He tries to be "cool", and in his effort get the students to like him, he has no energy left for actually explaining the material. The exam averages are very low, and he openly blames the students for not studying enough. As a professor he is useless, as an entertainer - depends on the day.

All he does is read his powerpoint notes off of the overhead. He doesn't explain anything or do examples step by step. He just assumes all of his students are textbook learners. He is funny though, so that's the only good thing.
