As a freshman I was able to get through Programming I with A’s and B’s finishing with a B average and test grades no lower than an 85. Entering Programming II with a new professor (Collard) was difficult. I am unable to keep up, half my class is failing, and the other half already know another language. I am unable to do any of the labs, and am fai

He's a good teacher, tough but good. Even if you are struggling and you let him know he'll help you out with the problems. Would recommend taking his class if you are required.

Was not very helpful. I was very, very lost and he did not even try to point me in the right direction, he did make me more confused however. He has a bit of an ego problem.

Unless you are a CS major and you love CS, you will have a tough time in his class. His assignments aren't out of the book and the way he explains them makes no sense. The tests are rediculous, they cover everything that you don't know because they are so abstract. Good luck...

very tough professor. while he shows great respect for his students, and always makes himself available to lend a helping hand. his assignments can be unclear and he seems to have his own way of explaining things, which usually goes over students heads
