Dr. Byron is a great guy. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and crystal clear with his lectures. The class is set up through an online program. Homework is due every single day but it's manageable and it really helps you understand the material. If you're ever confused, he will explain anything again and also in different ways so everyone gets it.

I would happily the this professor again and I already plan to next semester. For the class, it is more of letter math in my perception that actual philosophy and it is important to go to class in order to understand the homework/lessons. As for the professor, he is very helpful in class and in office hours and easy to talk to.

Professor Byron blind grades papers which is nice. Relatively easy grader on papers, but a bit picky outside of that. Definitely has a lot of knowledge about the topic. Comes off as very intelligent. A bit short with students at times. Has very specific answers in mind when asking questions in class and will reject anything that is different.

Such a good professor. His lectures are always really entertaining and he makes the material so easy to learn. If you go to every class and go to office hours when needed the class is so easy.

Proof Byron may be the most qualified teacher at Kent. He did undergrad at Princeton and grad school at Yale. Very impressive man. He is very smart, but he makes everything very understandable to students. He expects you to work and think, but you are better for it. His teaching stays with you. Take good lecture notes. Amazing teacher.

This was my 2nd class with Dr. Byron, but I enjoyed my intro class more with him. This writing intensive course was fairly difficult. I would suggest to go to the writing center or even ask him for clarity in office hours, that helped me a lot! He blind grades the papers online which is nice. I still love him as a professor, but hes a little harsh.

Professor Byron was more than helpful this past semester. I had him for intro to formal logic and passed with an A in the course. Wanna know how? I came to every class, took notes, did all the homework, and went to his office for extra help when needed. He does take attendance and it's worth 20% of your grade which can really help you later on.

Face it: The class is hard. Formal logic is not a joke. Dr. Byron does an excellent job teaching the subject. Homework assignments are done online and are hard, but Dr. Byron will go above and beyond to help you understand. Go to class, pay attention, and PRACTICE. He is not arrogant or sadistic. He's intelligent and kind. I highly respect him.

Everything for the class is online. If you go to class and pay attention you will do fine. I attended his office hours one time and he was so nice. He really wanted to see me succeed. It is not that easy of class but I needed to take it for my major. I actually really love logic now and it's helped me in other classes. I loved and recommend him!

Tricky course, but a lot of fun once you grasp it. Love Dr. Byron! Clearly knows his stuff, teaches very well and takes the patience to guide students step by step. The other comments about him being condescending have a little bit of truth to it, but I love his snarkiness and sarcasm. He just wants you to get a good grade and get your stuff right.

Professor Byron's class is pretty easy. He is fairly clear during lecture, but he is pretty conceited and arrogant when you attempt to ask for help. He's a decent professor, but he needs to realize that he isn't the best thing to grace Kent's campus.

I took formal logic for 5 weeks in the summer. the material was pretty hard if you are not good at problem solving. I had major trouble in his class but I did pass and i felt he was a great professor and was very nice and helpful. he was more than willing to answer any question and go over the homework thoroughly.
