Easy A. His class was very boring though and class participation is 20% so you pretty much have to attend if you want that extra percentage. He goes over all vocab day before test, that's the only day you really learn anything. Study night before each test and you should pass easy. One oral presentation and one essay that he grades very generously.

Dr. Flax was a good professor. Get the textbook because you will use it a lot. His reviews are just like the test, so attend the reviews and you will do fine. There is 1 research paper and 1 oral presentation. He has great stories to tell and relates what is taught to the real world.

I CAN WRITE A BOOK ABOUT HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS MAN. HE IS SO AMAZING AND I SERIOUSLY GET SO UPSET WHEN I REALIZE I CAN'T TAKE HIM AGAIN. I was hesitant towards taking a night class but I honestly enjoyed going so much and this class was extremely interesting and kinda made me wanna become a psych major so yea 10/10

I absolutely loved Dr. FLax. He's very intelligent, worldly, empathic, and is hilarious. The stories that he tells have profound teachings and excellent life lessons. I think everyone should take this class as a point of reference to living a more fullfilling life (when you pay attention). It's the teachings most of our parents never gave us lol.

I found professor Flax to be extremely interesting. He gave great lectures and really related the topics to real life situations. He has an extensive background in psych which helps. He gives no homework and is very easy to talk to. Id highly recommend if you want a good professor and interesting class.

He is a nice man, grades generously, and can be funny, but if you actually want to learn something DO NOT take him. He drags out the class and tells useless stories OVER AND OVER. Psychology is my major and this class was a big disappointment. Also, he is not accessible outside of class hours aka has no e-mail and doesn't use Moodle.

great great teacher. turns a 3 hour lecture into a fun, educational enviroment. he is down to earth and great at what he does. 3 tests that are very fair, 1 paper and no homework. Attendance does matter but being in class was very enjoyable. Highly recommend. Great teacher and great personality

Great teacher. 3 tests for psycholoy 101. All questions are matching and he gives you every single term that will be on it in the review. He states the 25 terms that will be on the test. Class isnt too much of a drag. highly recommenced

Professor Flax is a very compassionate teacher who cares about his students. He gives 3 tests which are really not that difficult. It's just matching definitions and he GIVES you the words you need to study so there is no excuse to fail any of them. He's funny and loves to make class interesting.

It is probably the best class I've ever taken at Bergen. Fantastic. He is jus an amazing professor his lectures are very helpful besides the material is very interesting and applicable for ones life.

Dr. Flax combines his extensive knowledge in psychology with interesting stories, both personal and fictitious. If you attend all his classes, it's quite difficult to fail. He grades extremely generously and basically tells you in detail what to expect on the tests. Highly recommend taking his class!

excellent teacher and really interacts with the class but if you dont have the text book & you dont show up for the reviews then your not passing. He reads from text book & gives interesting stories that go with them if your just starting to learn about psychology i totally recommend him. His test will be tricky but study & they're a breeze

Professor Flax is an amazing teacher. On the first day you receive your syllabus, he explains it thoroughly. The syllabus consist of 3 tests, Oral presentation, and a Research paper. It also shows you how everything is graded, for example what percentage everything is towards your final grade. Book is needed to study terms given for tests.

Professor Flax was awesome! His tests are vocabulary words he goes over in class the week before. He had us do a research paper and oral presentation, in which he grades EXTREMELY well. I recommend him !

What a comedian!!! Going to his class was like going to a comedy show every time! I Loved going to his class it brightened up my mood on my darkest days! Warning! He hates lateness or cheaters or cell phones lol there are 3 tests that are vocab only one presentation on Anything u want and 1 paper. Very easy grader and very easy A. I miss his class

He is always on time and it means ALOT TO HIM that students are on time as well His tests are actually quite challenging although the review is considered a "give away" (they really werent) He graded every other assignment (papers and presentations) more than graciously though

Hello everyone. If you need a psychology class, PLEASE take other professor because Dr. M. Flax is very hard professor ever. You don't have homework , but u have tests and you need study for them very very hard. He doesn't understand that you have other classes. Before his class I read about him and everybody wrote like take him. DONT BELIEVE!
